Captain Mickey Mouse has found himself up in space. But, as usual, he has everything under control!
These are old store stock that have never been used. You might have to maneuver the pin a bit when you decide to wear it. These are pretty sturdy so that should not be a problem. The pin measures 1 inch in diameter.
These are from an old warehouse in Brooklyn and were never distributed. They are in good condition for a novelty from the 1960s.
Because these are unmarked with origin, we believe them to be made in the USA, but we cannot be sure.

Vintage New Old Stock Cabochon Pin Featuring Bambi Amongst the Flowers
More Pins & Brooches
More Animals of All Kinds
We were lucky to find a lot of these cabochon pins as new old stock - never used - in a Brooklyn, New York warehouse. They are cleverly made and most are in fine shape. There is some wear from handling on some of the cabochons.
It appears that the cabs are made of metal and that the image has been transferred onto the cabochon either by printing or some other method.
Each of the pins are the same and feature that sweet little fawn, Bambi amongst the mushrooms and flowers.
If you care to do so, you might re-work these into assemblage pieces by removing the cabochon and applying a new image, or, indeed by replacing it with something else. Please be careful if you choose to remove the cabochon - especially if you are bending the prongs.
These were made by a novelty company - not a jewelry company - so please be careful when working with them.
On the back pin, it reads the country of origin, Hong Kong. On the back of the bezel it reads,
U.K. Registered Design 89136
Each measures 7/8 inch high by 5/8 inch wide has a self-pin on back that has been attached mechanically rather than by adhesive. So, for novelties, these are well made.

At first we thought we were purchasing an entire deer family and then we discovered we had bucks and does!
These molded plastic deer have been hand painted, so each one is slightly different from the next. These were meant as novelty decorations in the late 1950s or early 1960s. They are in great condition, but the painting is better on some than others.
The standing buck measures 1-1/2 inches from tail to ear, 2-1/4 inches from toe to antler tip and a bit over 1/2 inch wide. The doe is elegantly reclining and measures 1-3/8 inch from tail to front knee, 1-1/8 inch from ear to tummy and about 1-1/8 inch wide.

Intricately Detailed Laser-cut Gravestone Replica: Peaceful Lamb
More Embellishments
More Shrine Supplies
More Hallowe'en
More Collage & Assemblage
More Animals
We had these wonderfully elaborately detailed gravestone replicas created for us! Although they are great for Hallowe'en, we also love them for their deserted feel. The are made from photographs of authentic gravestones in an almost abandoned cemetery in Colorado.
Many old cemeteries have tombstones with a lamb atop the base or with a lamb engraved on the face of the stone. The lamb generally represents peace, and of course, we hope that the souls of the departed have found peace as their bodies lie at rest.
The faux dimension on the grave marker is astounding. Although the piece is flat, it appears as though it might be 3-dimensional - making this super for your artwork..
They are laser cut from 1/8 inch thick Baltic birch and then laser cut. The sides are natural wood color and the back has been painted black.
Each measures 1-1/2 inch high by 1-9/16 inches wide at the base.

Vintage Metal Stag Head Tobacco Tag
More Vintage Stuff
More Tobacco Tags & Other Metal Tags
More Smoking
More Collage & Altered Art Supplies
Tobacco tags were made in all kinds of sizes and shapes. They were made of metal and were used to identify plugs of tobacco, especially tobacco for chewing.
These tags are quite rare as they are die cut into the shape of a stag's head. Many tags from this company are square, round or triangular with a printed image of the stag's head on them.
We are illustrating 2 tags so that you can see the variation in condition. We quite like their chippy look and feel - especially for altered art and jewelry! On either side of the head are points so that the tag could be pressed into the tobacco - on most of the tags, these are already bent backward, but on some they lay flat, ready for bending. Each tag measure 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch and is less than 1/16 inch in profile.
These tags were used around the early 1900s to mark plugs of tobacco - tobacco for chewing. Around that time, it was made by pressing cured tobacco leaves together in a molasses-based or other sweet syrup. This was a hand-on process. Customers would cut, or even bite off, a piece of the plug to chew.

Vintage Lettuce-Colored Chenille Snail with Genuine Shell & Googly Eyes
More Ornaments
What a gorgeous escargot! S/he is just so sophisticated! Really, how adorable is this old stock chenille snail? It hails from the 1950s. An old warehouse find, these snails were stored in their original boxes, so each is in fantastic shape!
The body is made of lettuce-colored chenille and features a wired tulle back and a smart (and genuine) mother of pearl shell. Our snail's googly eyes are perched atop two wired stems and can be easily maneuvered for that perfect position.
Mostly every one we have comes with the original Made in Japan label.
When posed as pictured, s/he measures just about 2 inches wide. Of course, the shells are natural, so their sizes vary a bit. They are so stunning - when you hold the shell up to the light and move it, the colors vary from aqua to pink to turquoise, just so lovely!

Signed Sterling Silver Gecko Charm
More Native American Indian
Some time ago, we were lucky enough to drive through the gorgeous land of the Navajo Indians and purchase some wonderful pieces of handmade sterling silver. We do not have the official documentation that this was purchased as a Native American Indian product. So, you'll have to trust us. We paid a fair price to the artist directly.
Each gecko has been stamped with the artists logo on the back and marked Sterling. And, each is a little bit different, but most are very close to the one pictured. This is an elegantly made piece, measuring 1-3/8 inch from hanging hole to the tip of his tail and about 1/2 inch wide from toe to toe.
The lizard or gecko in myth has come to symbolize sensitivity and premonition. Because the gecko can regenerate a tail if lost, s/he also represents rebirth and the circle of life.

Saint Francis of Assisi & the Wolf Medal
More Medals, Amulets and Milagros
Beloved by even those who do not usually venerate the saints, St Francis of Assisi was not only known for his devotion to God, but also for his kindness to animals and his peacefulness for all creatures, including humans.
This traditional medal measures 1 inch high by 1/2 inch wide. It was made in Italy and is made of modern pewter (no lead). On the front, an image of the venerable Saint Francis and a wolf is portrayed in 3D. On the back, the medal reads:
Pray for Us.
On the front,
Saint Francis
The story of St Francis and the Wolf is a great learning experience for all of us. Legend has it that St Francis was visiting a town that had been besieged by a wild wolf. Not only did the wolf kill the town's pets, but also livestock and other wild animals - and people. No one ventured past the town's boundaries for fear of being mauled or killed.
St Francis volunteered to go reason with the wolf and a local friar and some of the townspeople. Not everyone had the strength of belief in God's protection as did St Francis, so his entourage dwindled as he approached the forest.
Only he and the friar were left as the wolf charged from behind the trees, mouth open, ready to strike. St Francis made the Sign of the Cross, and, much to everyone's surprise, the wolf stopped in his tracks.
The saint explained to the wolf that he had been terrorizing the town, the animals, the people. He asked the wolf to make a pact with him to end such behavior and to become friendly with the humans, who were created in the image of God. Then, St Francis asked the wolf and the townsfolk to both agree to forgive the past and move on.
Unbelievably, the wolf moved towards St Francis and nodded his head. Then St Francis offered his hand and the wolf extended his front paw into the saint's hand. St Francis then invited the wolf to accompany him back to town. Meekly, the wolf agreed. St Francis, wolf at his side, entered the town and offered the people a lesson, taught by the wolf. He called upon the people to repent their sins and offered them peace amongst themselves and that other creature of God, the wolf.
The townspeople made a pact to keep the wolf fed and not to hurt him. In return, the wolf agreed to be peaceful as well. For two years, the wolf went from door to door, accepting food from the people of the town. Even the local dogs treated the wolf warmly, never barking.
The wolf's peaceful ways were a living reminder of the wonders of God and the patience, virtue and holiness of St Francis. When the wolf died of old age, he was mourned, but his memory was a reminder of the power and providence of the living God.
This lovely story may or may not be true, but certainly, we can see the wolf as a representation of the beloved animals in our lives.
This medal is just the right size to hang on your dog's collar or to wear on your bracelet or necklace as a reminder of the devotion of our pets to us.

The Jumping Frog by Mark Twain (The Revenge Edition)
More Books
The full name of this fun reproduction book is:
THE JUMPING FROG In English, Then in French, then Clawed back into Civilized Language Once More by Patient Unremunerated Toil
"Smiley was surprised and disgusted, but he not himself doubted not of the turn being intended. The individual empocketed the silver, himself with it went, and of it himself in going is it that he no gives not a jerk of thumb over the shoulder - like that - at the poor Daniel, in saying with his air deliberate - "'Eh bien! I no see not that that frog has nothing of better than another.'"
You would probably be hard-pressed to identify the author of the above passage as Mark Twain. And no wonder: this little bit of Twain's wit is part of a translation he made from a French translation of his celebrated Frog tale. The French translation was published in the Revue des Deux Mondes, the Review of Some Two Worlds, as Twain styled it. The re-translation Twain made into English was supposed bo be a clear demonstration of the French translator's incompetence. In any case, Twain, trusty tongue in cheek, obviously felt his re-translation to be the only suitable response to the ?French rendering of his inimitable tale. Certainly, the subtleties (such as they are) of the new English version will delight any language student.
But -alas and alack - imagine Twain's consternation (after having given his pitiable French imitator his just deserts) upon learning that the Calaveras County incident had been recorded in Greece two thousand years earlier. Can the reader believe it? do not confuse this book with the original story alone. It contains the original, the French "traduction," Twain's re-translation, and a wealth of reflection by Twain. It is the only "complete" Jumping Frog.
Unaltered and unabridged, this republication is of the original 1903 Harper & Brothers edition. There are 12 delightful illustrations by F. Strothmann in this 66 page 5-3/8 by 8 inch paperbound tome.

Art Postcard - Fuchsjagd (Fox Hunting)
More Crows & Ravens
So, now Aesop's fable of the Fox and the Crow has turned full circle. Who is complimenting whom? Why is the fox in the tree. We knew it would change somehow!
The original tale has the crow in the tree enjoying a nice chunk of cheese that he stole from a farmer's windowsill. The foxy fox flatters the crow into thinking she has a beautiful singing voice. The crow, enamoured with the idea, decides to sing and drops the cheese to the ground for the fox.
So, what must the crow have said to change the situation? We can hardly guess!?

Coyotes are often pictured howling at the moon. This one is running, for which the trickster is known as well. S/he can even leap up to 14 feet and can run as fast as 30 miles per hour. Swift and intelligent, many people feel that this dog-relative is their spirit animal.

This interesting tin ornament has been created by Mexican artisans in the old tradition and then hand painted or adorned. The tin is embossed and debossed for effect and this helps to make the coyote appear as though s/he is already jumping gracefully.

Created from the design of an ancient sarcophagus, this little bronze box features an elegant crocodile atop the lid. Of course there is no mummy inside, but we think this a wonderful addition a shrine. And, it's also quite attractive on its own. It's style is that of antiquity, appearing that this might be thousands of years old. Alas, it is relatively new, having been made in the 1990s.
Although made in Egypt, the box also appears to be Mesoamerican in style as well. The images are universally ancient.
Each box is slightly different as every one has been painstakingly made by hand in the tradition of generations of metal workers. The approximate base measurement is 2-1/8 inch by 1 inch. The box depth is about 9/16 inch. The lid sits roughly on top of the be base and makes the entire box about 1 inch to 1-1/8 inch high.

Primitive Oval Folk Art Reindeer Pin
Fashioned in a primitive colonial art style, this lovely pin features a reindeer flanked by stylized evergreens. It's pastel rendering allows it to be worn anytime of year, but we love the subtle touch it lends to the Christmas holidays - particularly if you're not fond of bling.
The pin measures 2-1/4 inches wide by 1-5/8 inch high. The sides and back have been finished in black, adding a frame-like quality to the pin, although the black is not visible from the top.
We're not quite sure of the material - it might be lightweight wood or perhaps masonite. The image has been découpaged onto the pin.

Block Print Note card - Thank you Squirrels (with Crystal Acorn)
More NoteCards
More Thank You
We once lived in a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area called Squirrel Hill, so, you can be assured that we are quite fond of our bushy-tailed little friends. This card certainly tickled our fancy!
Each card is printed front-and back on Italian mould-made paper using an original design from a hand-carved linoleum black, then hand-finished with Austrian crystal rhinestones. The image was inspired by Art Deco design - the first truly international style that flourished during the 1920s and 1930s.
Created by Spotbear Productions, the card measures 3-1/2 by 5-1/4 inches and is accompanied by a matching envelope. The inside is blank for your own message.

Art Postcard - Wiehern
More Friendship
Literally the title of this enchanting postcard is Whinny, but the photographers chose to translate it as Snicker. How much better that translation is!
Two artists, Ernst Volland and Heinz Krimmer, formed Voller Ernst with the aim of building the largest collection of quirky and funny photos. And, this is certainly one of those fantastic images as a postcard.
Zebras have the perplexing nature of appearing as a horse and being manifestly not a horse all at once. Their distinctive stripes are their camouflage against predators. Because of their stripes, the animals that hunt them have a difficult time distinguishing one zebra from the next.
But with in the herd, the stripes prove just the opposite - the stripe patterns are unique to each zebra - allowing their the other herd members to easily identify each other.
Because of these characteristics, zebras represent the ability to maintain individuality in groups and the ability of groups to support individuals. The duality of the stripes represents the integration of the opposites. Opposites are taught to children, and remembered by adults, to achieve deeper meaning of each side. Good is better understood when considered with evil.

Frida's Garden Fabric on Black Background
More Fabric
More Frida
Alexander Henry fabrics are known for their versatility and cutting edge designs. Their talented in-house artists paint each design by hand, and the company screen-prints the final product on 100% cotton. Fabric is 44 inches wide.
Much of the symbolism in Frida Kahlo's paintings can be seen throughout this gorgeous fabric. Her native Mexican culture was so prominent in her paintings and writings and that imagery translates beautifully into this high-quality fabric.
While there are no specific references or explicit renderings of her actual artwork here, it almost seems as though Frida herself created this fabric. Accentuated by the black background, the colors are deeply exotic, designed by Phillip de León and shows stylized depictions of Kahlo amidst jungle surroundings, with her beloved monkeys. There are exotic plants, flowers and native fruits and even some blue snakes!
Two excerpts from Frida's writings are also incorporated in a handwriting style close to her own:
Pies para qué las quiero, si tengo alas pa' volar. (Feet - what do I need them for if I have wings to fly?)
Tengo ganas a vivir. Ya comencé a pintar. (I desire to live. I have already begun to paint.)
What wonderful things you can create with such fabric: book covers, quilts, tote bags, clothing, scarves, lampshades and more.

Sheet of 8 Micro-Perforated Holy Cards: St Francis of Assisi - Print Your Own Prayer!
More Holy Cards & Trading Cards
Saint Francis lived from 1182 through 1226 and is the founder of the Franciscan Order. He is one of the most famous and beloved saints of the Catholic Church. This set of 8 standard sized holy cards arrives on a sheet - ready for you to print yourself! They are meant for both laser printers and ink jet printers, but we have not tried them in every printer. There is not a template provided with them, but with a few calculations, they should print for you in whatever package you use.

3D Note Card - MC Escher - Reptiles

More Note Cards
The only way we can think to describe these is way cool! Working in much the same way as the Currier & Ives stereoviews of the past, these operate on the venerable principle of the stereopticon. The viewer does not use the 3D-TV Glasses with one blue and one red lenses. These cards, instead have a nearly identical image for each lens - and of course, there is a cut-out for your nose. You can even adjust the focus - just squeeze the folded-out card.
There's a space for a short message and the whole card folds flat for mailing in the envelope provided. Perfect for the occasion when a gift is too much and a card too little!
Dutch artist Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898-1972) was and is one of the world's most famous graphic artists. The left-handed artist is best known for his impossible structures and amazing three-dimensional woodcuts and drawings. He was consistently fascinated with congruency, perspective and technique: often spending hours experimenting.
This black and white card is a reproduction of his famous Reptiles tessellation, originally created in 1943.

Shiny Copper Milagro Honoring San Martin de Porres
More Milagros, Amulets & Medals
This striking Shiny Copper Milagro features an elegant stamping of beloved San Martin de Porres. Each milagro is hand-made and is approximately 1-1/2 inches wide by a bit over 2 inches tall and features a satin ribbon at the top.
San Martin was the illegitimate son of a Spanish nobleman and young freed black slave, Anna Velasquez. Rejected by his parents, he grew up in poverty and was cared for by a surgeon-barber from whom he learned to care for the infirm.
As a youngster, he began to work for the Holy Rosary Dominican Brothers in Lima, Peru. Because of his devotion to the poor and his other good works, he changed the nature of the Priory's rules and the brothers dropped the stipulation that "no black person may be received to the holy habit or profession of our Order”. San Martin took his vows in 1603.
He is well know for his creation of an orphanage and children's hospital. He also established a shelter for the stray cats and dogs and nursed them back to health.
San Martin is a beloved saint throughout the Americas. His followers are from all walks of life, all financial backgrounds and all races. Many miracles have been attributed to him.
San Martin is usually pictured with a broom, showing his willingness to work hard and with a dog, cat and mouse all eating from the same bowl. His austere lifestyle is venerated by many.
He is the patron of all races and particularly of mixed-race individuals. He is also patron to the poor, to public education and health care.
These stunning milagros (miracles) make the perfect accent for art projects as well as for their intended devotion in honor of San Martin.

Vintage Plastic Donkey Charm
Vintage Plastic Elephant Charm
Democrats, zoologists and animal lovers will adore this lovable little donkey with his perky ears and friendly expression. The vintage charm itself is ivory colored so you could really paint it if you like.
Whether our donkey is a jack (male) or jenny (female), it is so very sweet. Donkeys were endeared to Jesus Christ, who was often pictured riding one. Although they are work animals, many of them are treated as pets. Other religions are not as fond of the animal. Considering that the population of donkeys has grown tremendously over the last few years, we know they are hardy animals and are willing to please. Thomas Nast created a cartoon declaring the donkey to represent the Democratic political party in the USA (he also declared the elephant to represent the Republicans).
Our little fellow measures 1 inch from nose to tail and about 3/4 inch tall.

Icon Style Holy Cards - St Francis of Assisi
Milagros & Medals
We were quite taken with the icon-style print of Saint Francis that was used for this very special holy card. Saint Francis lived from 1182 through 1226 and is the founder of the Franciscan Order. He is one of the most famous and beloved saints of the Catholic Church. He renounced worldly wealth, preaching the importance of simplicity and poverty based on the ideals of the Gospel. He was known for his love of nature and animals, especially birds.
These lovely holy cards are a bit lighter weight than some others we offer, but the printing is absolutely outstanding. They are a convenient size for use as gifts or bookmarks - measuring 3-1/8 by 4-5/8 inches on heavy cream-colored paper. The back is blank except for a faint colophon at the bottom, leaving plenty of room for custom imprinting with your own message, or a place to write a note to a friend.

Vintage Mechanical Plastic Turtles from the 1960s
These great little old-stock mechanical turtles arrived after a long hibernation in storage. Meant for the vending machines of the 1960s, these little fellows have a wiggly tail and head. They were probably only a penny (or at most a nickel) way back when a small coin could get a ton of loot for kids who knew where to look!
These are in great condition for their age, but be careful with them because they certainly weren't designed to last. There is a little loop hole on the bottom of each - so you can even turn one into a charm.
We've crated each one in a tiny reusable plastic case to protect him on his way to you. These are in assorted colors only - some are two-tone (head and tail one color and shell another) and some are all one color. There are so many variations, please let SilverCrow choose one for you.

Assurances Note Card
Artist Jim Brandenburg is famous for his stunning photographs that capture the beauty and magic of the natural world. He is one of the premier wildlife photographers in the world, and a dedicated environmentalist. He has won numerous international awards for his work.
Jim derives intense satisfaction from his life-long commitment to explore and understand the wilderness. Sharing his love for the natural world and telling its stories are what motivates him during his long treks in the wilderness.
We sometimes forget why touching is so important, and we forget that those we love just might need to feel us. Debossed by letter press printing in complimentary brown foil, the message, quoting Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, reads:
Ah, how good it feels: the hand of an old friend.
Each 5 by 7 inch card is printed on a textured 100% recycled paper with soy based inks, and is accompanied by an envelope for mailing.

These are really meant to be antlers for deer, reindeer or any other animal (real or fantasy). However, we think a good imagination will conjure many other ideas for their use.
These are lightweight highly embossed golden Dresdens just waiting for you to trim them - to use in your holiday crafts and other artwork. Long used for embellishing ornaments and glued to other paper scraps and decoupage projects, these wonderful motifs are even more special because they are golden - one of the traditional color of many of ornaments of the Victorian period.

Vintage Embossed Die Cut Chromolithograph Scraps - Animal Wannabes
More Scraps, Dresdens & Die Cuts
From the mid-20th century, super cute scraps feature animals in professions and activities normally reserved for their human friends. There are bears, birds, monkeys and more bowling, juggling, delivering the mail and playing the banjo. Artists, musicians and waiters and more, offer their more humorous side for inclusion in your artworks. We're not sure whether we wannabe the animals or if they wannabe human.
As with many of the scraps and die cuts made in the 20th century, these are children in adult situations. The advent of space exploration in the 1950s and 1960s, led to many products such as these. Rather than intricately die cut motifs, these are nicely expressed vignettes that are die cut into shapes - probably meant for découpage. We're particularly attracted to the colors in this production - there is a special tone that makes the scraps seem older than they even really are!
The scrap relief sheet is approximately 9 inches by 7 inches, ready for you to clip and use in your artwork. And each sheet is lightly embossed to accent. The shapes make these perfect for accenting boxes, pencil cups or other such items.

Rattlesnake Eggs
The package is menacingly old-fashioned. This kraft-colored envelope supposedly contains one dozen rattlesnake eggs. With a picture of a rattlesnake ready to strike, mouth wide open, the package reads:
ONE DOZEN Rattlesnake Eggs CAUTION: Keep in cool place to prevent hatching....
Below the picture, it reads:
Best collection to show your friends...
The back flap (which is not sealed, reads:
Caution When Opening TAPE HERE BEFORE MAILING
Inside is a gimmick that sounds like a rattler when you open the envelope flap. You can reset this again and again by simply twisting the washer so that the rubber band becomes twisted. Slide it back into the envelope and use it again.
This is an old-time joke from days gone by and is genuinely fun to show to younger (and older) people who might never have seen it!
Please be careful when showing the joke - it may frighten someone. Be especially careful to avoid startling people with medical conditions.

Vintage Chenille Squirrel
More Ornaments and Such
We love chenille and these little squirrel boys are one of the reasons why! Old store stock figures like these are few and far to find, so we are full of ourselves when we find them. Each is sitting on a scalloped cardboard base, so they were probably birthday cake toppers or something of the kind.
Each little fellow measures about 4 inches tall with a hand painted spun cotton head. We think he is holding a spun cotton nut, but it doesn't look like an acorn.
Each one is in pretty great condition considering the age. We suspect they are from the 1950s or earlier. The chenille is a bit flat from storage and there is the occasional spot or crease in one of them. We've added a bit of paper grass and placed each one in a plastic display box, making him ever the more special!
None of these have been used for their intended purpose and they were together in a group when found.

Songs of Experience - Facsimile Reproduction
Tyger! Tyger! burning bright In the forests of the night; What immortal hand or eye Could frame thy fearful symmetry? . . .
One of Blake's most inspired creations, The Tyger mingles the lyric and mystical in an exquisite union. Now you can experience the beauty of this and other poems the way Blake intended them - with his own hand-colored illustrations giving them visual form.
This facsimile edition of one of Blake's celebrated Illuminated Books reproduces a collection of calligraphed poems, each enclosed in a masterful full-color illustration. Twenty-six plates reprinted from a rare 1826 etched edition include "London," " A Little Boy Lost," "Holy Thursday," "The Voice of the Ancient Bard" and other immortal verse. To enhance reading, the texts of all the poems are transcribed separately, following the plates.
Dynamic designs and simplicity of language convey Blake's vision of mankind and his condemnation of a wealthy society insensitive to poverty and unhappiness. Moreover, its universal themes make Songs of Experience just as poignant and profound today. Lovers of literature and fine art will want to add this faithful, inexpensive facsimile of an immortal classic to their libraries.
This charming softbound book measures 5-1/4 by 7 inches and has 48 pages, including the facsimile republication of 26 color plates from Songs of Innocence and of Experience, 1826, and a complete printed text of the poems.

Large African Porcupine Quills
More African & African Inspired Items
Unlike our small porcupine quills, these large ones are imported from Africa. The African porcupine often grows to the size of a small bear. His American relative is much smaller. These quills are gorgeous - from 6 to 12 inches long (most are around 7 to 9 inches).
As with all natural materials, each quill is unique. You can clip the ends and thread through the quill, use it to write by sharpening one end and using it as a dip pen. It would make a great spine base for binding an informal book or pamphlet.
We have even seen them sliced into sections and inlaid in furniture and frames. Because of their size, they also make lovely and unique chignon pins.
These are sharp, so be very careful.
