These hand made glass eyes were made for plush animals and dolls as well as for taxidermy projects. They are vintage - we approximate their origins to be the 1920s or 1930s.
There are slight differences from eye to eye - in size, color and even slightly in shape, making them much more alluring for use in collage, assemblage and artwork than in traditional doll-making or taxidermy.
The back of the eye is similar to a cowrie shell, with the glass folding back upon itself. Each is a approximately 9/16 inch from side to side, 5/16 inch from top to bottom and has a 3/16 inch profile.
We are showing 3 eyes for illustration so that you might see the variation as well as the back of the eye.

Vintage Brown Hand Blown Glass Doll eye with Stem
Vintage porcelain dolls from Germany would always have hand-blown glass eyes like these - so beautiful that they almost look real! Ours all measure about 5/8 inch from stem to the front of the eye and the eyeball itself measures about 1/2 inch in diameter.
The eyes' iris coloring is exquisite - unmatched by the eyes produced today. These hail from the mid-20th century or earlier.
Of course these can be used for their original purpose - creating dolls, or, indeed, for repairing them. But, we also love odd things like these added to assemblages, memory boxes, nichos and ofrendas! What fun!

Vintage Less than Perfect Funny Cartoon Baby Face
We just couldn't stop smiling when we saw this vintage old stock baby doll - it's like a cartoon baby! Made from molded plastic, it features hand-painted hair facial features including large expressive eyes! Made of flexible plastic, we expect that these hail from the 1970s. Some of the faces are a bit out of shape when sitting on their own, but they are easily re-shaped.
There is an open back so you can change this into a doll mask if you like. Or use it to decorate cupcakes and the like. We have not cleaned these, as we never do more than dust vintage items, so as to not ruin the value or collectability. So if you decide to use them with food, be sure to wash them first.

What a neat idea! This little copper charm might also be a pendant, depending on the way you use it. And, it might even be a doll's purse!
Each of these envelopes has a hinged articulated top that opens and closes. Although there is no latch, it remains nicely closed by design. The charm measures 3/4 inch across by 1/2 inch high (not including the little hanging loops on either side of the envelope). We had these wonderfully elaborately detailed crowns created for us! And were we ever delighted when we received them! The crown was created from vintage illustrations of regal crowns. They are laser cut from 1/8 inch thick Baltic birch and then laser cut. The sides are natural wood color and the back has been painted black.
Wonderful for jewelry, shrines, art dolls and all kinds of artwork, you'll find you'll need a lot of these. They are lightweight and might even be used for earrings!
We're calling this our Santos crown as we think it absolutely perfect for you mini shrines and saints, statues and other holy images. It, of course, would befit royalty as well.

These little scissors really work! They cut through paper nicely. So, when your little doll decides to cut paper snowflakes, s/he'll have just the right tool!
Measuring just 1-1/4 inch long, you might use these as a part of an assemblage necklace or a charm bracelet! There is a tiny notch on the thumb side of the handle that will hold the scissors together until gently pulled apart. We suspect the silvery metal to be aluminum as the scissors don't respond to magnets.

Our vintage, old store stock Monkey face has never been used. Made of pressed or molded fabric (just like our vintage masks), each is in superb condition. We're guessing these are from the 1950s or 1960s, but they certainly could be earlier than that.
The flesh colored fabric features wonderfully hand-painted details - completed with care and precision - but different enough from one to the next, that each one is subtly unique!
Each head measures 2-3/4 inches wide by 3-1/4 inch long (from tip of head to neck). The condition is excellent with the slightest touch of dustiness to the very outside rim.
Not only would the fellow's face be great as a doll head, but consider making it a mask for another doll!

This guy won a Donald Duck look-a-like contest in the early 1950s - or so he tell us. We can't be sure. But we are sure that he's been around that long. Doesn't he look like a 1950s kid's costume mask?
Hollow on the back and highly stylized, we've realized that his expression is just too happy for him to be The Donald.
He measures about 3-1/8 inches long by 2-1/8 inches wide and 1-1/2 inch from his beak to the back of his head.
He's made of an odd kind of plastic, that just might have some paper mixed in. His eyes, and mouth - er...beak - have been hand painted.

What fun you'll have with these teeny DIY masonite shrine kits. Your two shrines arrive flat. All you need is a tiny bit of glue to make 2 little head or profile shrines. Just flip the pieces over to make the shrine face in the other direction.
And, you'll have little blocks left (from the windows) for other projects!
The shapes have been laser cut and are easy to remove from the base - and easy to assemble. Just add a bail or other finding to change these into jewelry.
Each finished piece (after it is glued), measures 13/16 (just over 3/4) inch high by 3/4 inch wide. The little niche is almost 1/2 inch high by 3/8 inch wide and about 3/32 inch deep - teensy for sure!
These little head trinkets are great fun and make fantastic charms and add a special touch to a larger nicho, ofrenda or memory box.

Hand Made Oxidized Brass or Bronze Hand Charm
We were only able to get a limited number of these as they were hand made by the artist - and then we lost track of the artist! We love the look because it appears as though the charm was originally made thousands of years ago and found in a treasure trove.
Measuring 7/8 long including the hanging loop - which runs from left to right at the top and 7/16 inch wide at the widest part of the fingers, this is quite a special charm.

The millefiori technique was originally based on the French background coverage of thousands of tiny flowers called mille fleur. Mostly associated with Venetian glass making, this style of glassmaking involves layers of glass made into a cane and then sliced into individual pieces. The pieces would all be very similar as each piece The usual outcome is a lovely many-petaled flower. Then, these little slices are place in masse to decorate a larger piece, such as a vase, or an angel or a candlestick.
But, these little guys surely caught our eye. We're not sure where they were produced - or even when! But we are sure that they are funny and sweet. As you can see from the illustrated sample, they vary in size - from 3/16 to 3/8 inch in diameter. Very few are the same.

Our hand-cast crown is made of the same metal (modern pewter) as our milagros. It is quite sturdy and heavy, so it will be durable in any of your projects. It also makes a wonderful adornment for a Santo or statue.
The rough texture is reminiscent of milagros and ages naturally creating a primitive style uneven patina that makes each one different from the next. Just like our Vintage Frozen Charlotte Dolls, these little Frozen Charlotte Doll Heads have seen better days. After having examined these one at a time when we received them, we're sure you'll fall in love with them like we have.
The dolls were made from the 1850s through the early 20th century and sold for about a penny each in the United States. Children would dress them and were able to collect a few because of the nice price. In fact they were often called penny dolls.
These lovely doll heads have been dug up in Germany near the original factories where they were made. Every one seems to be different from the next. We think the damage endears them even more. We have not cleaned them, so you can enjoy discovering the unique beauty of your own doll's face and hair. Just use a mild soap gently with water.
If whole, these lovelies might sell for $125 to $300 each. The heads measure from just under 1/2 inch inch to just over 1-1/4 inch high. If you have a specific request, we'll try to honor it. However, these are vintage and we only have a limited grouping.
Several of the dolls' heads are in our illustration, but we do have more than the pictured ones. We have added an American penny to the picture to illustrate size.

The shiny and colorful urn is made of raku ceramic created by low-fire glazing. The ocean-sky hue ranges from dark blues to the palest of turquoise all in one pendant!
The pendant urn is glazed on the inside to hold liquids. But, it is not meant for food or drink contents, so, you might add an essential oil, or some earth from a special place for safekeeping.
Although meant to be worn as pendants, we think this lovely bodice would be perfect any assemblage, shrine or collage project you might be considering. With some imagination, you could even change her into an art doll!

So very much detail is evident in this little set of hand beads. Measuring just a bit over 1/2 inch long by 1/4 inch wide and about 1/8 inch thick, these little hands are high fire ceramic - in a natural off-white finish with brown highlights, giving them an unglazed appearance. Each set is a pair of hands - one left and one right. The measurements are approximate as these are hand made and the color varies slightly due to the hand finishing process. Elegant little pairs of hands for your jewelry and art dolls are always fun to find.
And you'll especially appreciate the 0.8mm to 1.5mm hole for stringing or attaching is through the wrist. This allows you to more easily attach them to your art dolls.

Although each photo appears familiar, we could not positively identify any one. We've always enjoyed lenticular (winky, blinky, flicker) images - especially the vintage ones. We were just so very excited when we found these vintage Vari-Vue lenticular smile that, with lenticular movement, changes from a smile to a frown and back again!
Use them for your art dolls to ad a kitschy flavor to them. Or just collect them like we do! Lenticular images like these (3d composition screens) were made a bit differently during the mid part of the 20th century - providing what we think is a much better 3D image.
The colors of the printed image are amazingly vibrant considering that these winky lips are almost a half-century old!

This lovely piece is made of Alpaca silver (also known as German silver). It is an alloy of copper, nickel and zinc (and contains little or no true silver). This keeps it from tarnishing or rusting, but it might dull over time and need a polishing. Please consider that it may cause a reaction to those who may be sensitive to nickel.
