We love this vintage pearlized dimpled glass chain. It has been created in the rosary style with a single silvery link between two beads.
The beads are all relatively the same size, but differ slightly so that they might resemble the real thing! The average size is about 5/8 inch long by 1/2 inch wide and about 1/8 inch thick.
Please be aware that the pearlized coating is flaking off. Bt, it is such beautiful chain that you might want to rub all of the finish off, or spray it with some kind of fixative to keep it from flaking more.
Add just an inch or two to a special assemblage for a special look. Use several lengths to make a great looking tassel! To separate, gently open a loop on one side of the chain and slip the other side off the loop. Then close the open loop.

We fell in love with these at a jewelry show several years ago and have never found them again! The necklace is made to hook onto a pendant with two lobster claw clasps. The deep coppery gold is made of metal bullion and is capped with wrapped golden thread. You can adjust the length of the necklace by sliding the threaded knot above the golden wraps up and down. It adjusts from 12 inches to 27 inches.
This versatile chain or necklace will showcase individual pendants that you can change each time you wear it.

Vintage Aged Copper Beaded Link Chain by the inch
This chain is stunning, but a bit odd! It is made small bead-links that slide along a brass wire. Each aged brass link is just over 1/4 inch, so when you order by the inch, you'll get a little more so that you don't lose a link. We would have thought that cutting between the beads would allow them to slide off the inner chain - but the beads remain on the wire! Amazing.

What a versatile item! This 3mm (in diameter) chain fits through the 1/8 inches whole in SilverCrow's Military Spec Dog Tags for a perfect keychain.
We recently used these to attach a special card to little bells for wedding favors (sample coming soon!) We've also seen them used to bind small books. Adjust length by cutting with wire cutters between two of the ball links and refastening the connector.

My favorite Easter coat was blue, cream and pale yellow plaid. I remember feeling so pretty in it - I wish I had one just like it today so very many years later.
Inside that coat was a chain just like this. The flat round loops were sewn by hand into the back of the coat on (or near the label) so that I could hang the coat on the chain when an appropriate coat hanger was not available. Fur coats were often fitted with these as well.
We were really excited to find that these are still made - and in the USA, no less!
Each chain measures 4 inches (including the flat loops) long. The chain itself is 1/4 inch wide. It is quite sturdy, of course, so that can hold a coat nicely.
Of course, you might imagine all kinds of other uses for this nifty little chain. That's why they come in packages of five.

Vintage Dimpled White Glass Bead & Patinaed Gold Rosary Chain
Rosary chain is quite special because it features chain links along with beads for a vintage yet modern look. This old stock chain has never been used, but it has patinaed nicely. The links were once golden metal, probably brass. They have since tarnished and have a great weathered look. We suggest that you coat the chain with a jewelry preserver rather than clean it. That way, you'll retain the vintage styling.
The beads are between 7mm and 8 mm (around 1/4 inch). They milky white dimpled glass.

These delightful, hand-made beads are known as African Christmas Beads as they are used for personal and home adornment. They are temporarily strung on several strands of thread or dental floss and are in loops from 35 to 37 inches long. If you're careful, you'll even be able to wear them as is. But, we find it a much better practice to restring them or to use them as individual beads.
Beads vary in diameter from 2mm to 7mm, but mostly they are 3mm to 5mm.
Of course, each strand is different and all beads are hand, and the variety of bead designs and sizes is amazing.

This chain is so very special, made in the mid-20th century, it is a combination of plastic and unfinished brass. The turquoise color is so neat, we've had a hard time deciding to really sell this great chain! Each turquoise link measures about 1/2 inch and the brass links measure about 1/4 inch.
