Most of the vintage rosary chain that we offer is made of glass or natural stones. This acrylic beaded chain fascinated us because of the unique possibilities of plastic. So many fun plastic charms are available that you might decide to use them to accent this chain or perhaps to add 2 or 3 beaded links of the is chain to a charm and make it into a dangly earring.
This jet black plastic rosary chain features 10mm (that's big) black faceted beads separated by golden loops. If you hold these up to the light, you can see a slight transparency. But they really appear to be opaque from afar. To separate, gently open a loop on one side of the chain and slip the other side off the loop. Then close the open loop.

Real Blue Topaz & Vermeil Rosary Chain
This rosary chain is so special it practically jumped out at us when we saw it. The gorgeous blue is hardly translated through the internet. We're hoping you'll see how wonderful this is just as we have! Depending on the light, the blue of the stone transform from the palest of sky to a subtle turquoise. Because each bead is a natural stone, please allow for variation.
The links are twisted vermeil (14 karat gold plating over sterling silver) and the beads are faceted natural blue topaz. Each bead is 4 mm and has been hand linked together.

What gorgeous chain this is! Connected by silver links, the lovely plaques made of shell are nothing less than stunning. Each plaque is approximately 25mm by 13mm. The natural shells make each link completely different from the next.
The links are loosely connected with silvery (we're not sure if they are sterling) links. So, you might have to tighten them up a bit. But, the fun part is this: just use 2 links - add a little charm on one end and an earring finding on the other and voilà - designer earrings!

Strand of African Christmas Trade Beads
These delightful, hand-made beads are known as African Christmas Beads as they are used for personal and home adornment. They are temporarily strung on string or dental floss and are in loops from 30 to 36 inches long. If you're careful, you'll even be able to wear them as is. But, we find it a much better practice to restring them or to use them as individual beads as you would seed beads.

4-Inch Ball Chain Key Chain
What a versatile item! This 3mm (in diameter) chain fits through the 1/8 inches whole in SilverCrow's Military Spec Dog Tags for a perfect keychain.
We recently used these to attach a special card to little bells for wedding favors (sample coming soon!) We've also seen them used to bind small books. Adjust length by cutting with wire cutters between two of the ball links and refastening the connector.

Furnace Glass Bead Strand
Although many glass beads are hand-made, furnace glass beads are even more special - as they are actually made by glass-blowing. The glass-blower begins just as though a vase or glass was being made! After pulling a long hot tube of glass (this sometimes takes two people), the hot glass is sliced in to pieces like these.
Each of these temporarily strung strands contains from 65-70 cube (square-sided) beads. While no two strands are alike, all of the strands we have are similar to the one pictured. The beads are assorted jewel-tone colors.

These tiny seed beads are temporarily strung on fine white thread, but you can use them in artwork as is as long as they don't get much wear and tear.
