My favorite Easter coat was blue, cream and pale yellow plaid. I remember feeling so pretty in it - I wish I had one just like it today so very many years later.
Inside that coat was a chain just like this. The flat round loops were sewn by hand into the back of the coat on (or near the label) so that I could hang the coat on the chain when an appropriate coat hanger was not available. Fur coats were often fitted with these as well.
We were really excited to find that these are still made - and in the USA, no less!
Each chain measures 4 inches (including the flat loops) long. The chain itself is 1/4 inch wide. It is quite sturdy, of course, so that can hold a coat nicely.
Of course, you might imagine all kinds of other uses for this nifty little chain. That's why they come in packages of five.

Stunning 18-Inch Sterling Silver Saku Chain
This is a quite unusual and very cool substantial sterling silver chain for your larger or heavier pendants. Because of the woven link, there is actually a touch of stretch to it making it hang beautifully with or without a pendant. The weave also adds the appearance of oxidation, but rest assured, this is lovely and shiny silver.
We just love the hook and eye clasp which allows even a smaller bail to fit over the end. This lovely piece is about 3mm in diameter.

Vintage Black Rosary Chain with Golden Links
What a special find! This fantastic chain was intended to make rosaries so long ago. Created from black glass and golden metal, the chain features oblong as well s round beads. The oblong beads are a unique shape that measures about 5/16 inch long by just a touch over 1/8 inch wide. The round beads are flanked on either side by vintage golden bead caps.
The round beads were meant for the Our Fathers (Lord's Prayer), while the other beads were the Hail Mary's, as they are grouped in sections of 10 beads and sometimes 3 beads. Occasionally, there is a bit more chain between the links. Some of the links have tarnished slightly, but we think such patina adds to its beauty. You might choose to leave it as is or try to clean it gently. Please do not use harsh chemicals as this is vintage chain.

What gorgeous chain this is! Connected by silver links, the lovely plaques made of shell are nothing less than stunning. Each plaque is approximately 25mm by 13mm. The natural shells make each link completely different from the next.
The links are loosely connected with silvery (we're not sure if they are sterling) links. So, you might have to tighten them up a bit. But, the fun part is this: just use 2 links - add a little charm on one end and an earring finding on the other and voilà - designer earrings!

These delightful, hand-made beads are known as African Christmas Beads as they are used for personal and home adornment.
