We've not counted them because we didn't want to open the 2-1/8 by 1-1/4 inch box to find out as these are in such great condition! The top of the box features an extra rounded flap that advertises: FOR THE PERFECT HAIRDRESS The top flap indicates a copyright in 1945. This is a fun product for anyone who loves hair-related items. One of us used to practice putting her hair up in a twist with only one hair pin - then, when she removed it and shook her head, she imagined herself as a 1940s movie star!
