We've been collecting vintage buttons for years - and we just love a jar full of white and cream colored buttons on display - there is something so old fashioned and homey about it.
You can start your collections with this little bundle of 25 vintage white and cream-colored buttons. Some are made of plastic, but there others made of mother of pearl, celluloid and wood.
We've strung them on waxed linen cord for safekeeping. 6 bunches are shown for illustration only.
We think they look quite attractive just they way they are, but we're sure you'll want to separate them and use them for jewelry or embellishments.

Vintage Plastic Tulips in 1-Inch Square Plastic Case

Two little salmon-colored tulips are in a 1-inch plastic case. Even though they look wonderful as they are, we're sure you'll think of tons of things you can do with them once you remove them from the case. Each is flat-backed and can be painted if you like. These are made of hard plastic and similar flowers are still made today, but our little tulips are are vintage.

Vintage Glass Mona Lisa Cabochon
Our vintage Mona Lisa clear and frosted glass cabochon has been created as an intaglio. (An intaglio is the quite the opposite of a cameo - the image being incised into the base. This lovely glass piece will fit in standard in a standard 14mm by 18mm setting.
We have placed the glass cabochon on a black background for a better illustration of the detail. The component is clear and frosted glass.

Vintage Glass Sphinx Cabochon
This wonderfully odd piece is an Egyptian revival glass flat-backed cabochon featuring a stylized sphinx, backed by pyramids and the sun in the background. It measures about 1-1/4 inch in diameter. The pale green accent on blue is at once eerie and beautiful, as are these ancient symbols themselves.

Hand-Carved Bone Face Component
We like to think of this image as the Man in the Moon. This sleepy face has been hand-carved just for us in Indonesia. It makes a wonderful face for an art doll and can be glued into any other artwork. You can set it in a cabochon fitting and make a lovely pendant as well.
These lovely bone components are hand carved, so some there may be some variation.

So often our artwork or card making calls for a component representing time, either specifically or in representing time together, forgotten (or remembered) times, or that some moments are timeless.
Our tiny clock face component is a perfect addition for those projects. The numbers are Roman numerals, and the time is set at the classic 12 minutes after 10 (morning or night matters not). The face also bears the inscriptions

We're not sure if these buttons are made of brass or bronze or nickel, but we are sure that they all have an older patina (some have been repaired) and would be great for altered books or other assemblages and collages. They are in different sizes and shapes, but all are authentic vintage Mexican coins that have been handmade into buttons!
