Although these ornaments are meant to represent the devil, we're not so sure as they are all quite comical and fun! The artist, Jimenez, has sculpted natural materials and clay to create his masks. So there are so very few that look even close to the same, so we are quite lucky that we have some that are quite similar. These are miniature versions of the masks displayed on so many walls and worn during so many holiday celebrations.
Each time we order these scary but fun masks, we get completely different designs. Even though some are our favorites, we may never see them again!
No two are exactly the same, so please let us choose one for you. There is a self-loop on the back for hanging. The approximate measurements are 2-1/4 inches high by 2-1/2 inches wide.

Years ago, my Mom had two little figurines that she placed on our mantle. One was a devil and the other an angel. She would place one in the foreground - depending on my behavior that day - so that anyone coming to visit would know my status! I was usually pretty good, but I fought hard not to have the devil out front - which usually brought him further out.
Thank goodness these weren't available back then!
The shortest one is 30-1/2 inches tall and 19 inches from the top of the head to the tip of the tail. The tall one is 33 inches tall and measures 21 inches from the top of the head to the tip of the tail. The devil is black and red with chenille horns, while the angel is white and pink with a chenille halo.
They arrive for you to easily assemble with four metal stake legs. The legs are not tight-fitting just like the legs for the original pink flamingos of backyard fame. They are easily positioned for just the right look!

This devil, or, indeed, fallen angel, ornament features the devil (or diablo) with wings. He is on is way to doing no good and carrying a sword.
He features a hanging hole at the top tip of his wing. To hang him in the traditional manner, simply hammer a nail through the top. Or, you can thread a ribbon or cord through the hole and hang him in that manner.
He measures 5-1/8 inches from toe to hanging hole and 2-3/8 inches wide.

Our open-mouth devil is quite the unsightly guy - with horns and sharp teeth and an ugly, ugly smile - but we love him just the same.

The artist has adapted a traditional mini nicho (about 3-1/2 inches high) to feature El Cirquero (the Circus Performer) from a traditional Loteria deck. The object of the puzzle is this: get the two balls (only one is visible in our photograph) into the center passageway. Once there, then manipulate the balls - one to either side of the passage way arch.

Chenille pipe cleaners are a staple for crafting and have been for many years! Our ornery little devil measures about 2-1/2 inches high (not including the hanging string. Our Day Of The Dead Papier Mâché Judas is a traditional character present in many Mexican and Central American celebrations. By tradition, Judas characterizations are made in the images of those in authority - such as judges and the police. In celebrations, they are filled with gun powder and fireworks and when exploded, a great cloud of paper scraps and smoke appears, the paper raining down around the celebrants.
Of course, ours is an image only (no gun powder or fireworks are included). Figures like this little fellow were made even more popular by Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera as they began to collect them along with other local folk art.
Each of these is very different from the next - from his horns to his wings to his body decoration. These are hand sculpted, painted and decorated by traditional artisans in the same manner they have made these for decades.
Every Judas is vibrantly colored in reds, blues and yellows. The approximate measurements are 15-1/2 inches from the tip of his horns to the bottoms of his feet. From wingtip to wingtip, he is about 7-1/4 inches wide. And, as he sits on your shelf or chair, he measures 7 inches from front to back.

Can you really reach the devil online? Someone thinks so! What a great gift for someone who spends just a little too much time on the internet. The nicho itself is hand made tin and glass, and then it is hand painted with brightly-colored details.
Created by Cielito Lindo Estudio from San Miguel Allende, this fun nicho is very specially made by traditional artisans. These vary slightly as all are handmade and painted. Hand-Carved Devil Ojime Bead
These hand-carved boxwood Diablo beads, are inspired by Antique Japanese Ojime - the sliding bead on the cord of the Inro Box. Each bead is hand-carved by a contemporary Chinese Master-Carver, who takes up to four hours to make just one. This fellow measures just about one inch.
As these are hand-carved, each is a unique work of art, but all are similar to the one shown, so please let us choose one for you.
