More Games
These are the "real" thing - game tokens from a visit to Las Vegas in the 1970s. Nope, we weren't the visitors, but we know them so, we're sure that the description is accurate!
Fun to use in your artwork as is, or even altered. Each token measures between 7-8 and 15/16 inch in diameter.
We think they'd make a unique alternative or addition to hand-made coupons for friendly tasks!
We're showing several to illustrate variation.

Vintage Hacienda Hotel & Casino Pin

More American West & Rodeo
More Horses
More Pins
The Hacienda Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas was once a very trendy spot. It was built in the early 1950s and was quite popular until its implosion on New Year's Eve 1996. In fact, it is known as "the hotel that wouldn't die" as there was still a substantial portion of the building left the next day!
This wonderful little pinback are quite detailed with the image of the Hacienda's Matador astride a handsome steed and the the Hotel's name below. Each is presented in a little plastic case with a foam base. The pins arrive without the backing clutch. We think these are great additions to any souvenir collection of casino or Las Vegas memorabilia. But, it will also make a unique embellishment for your collage or assemblage artwork.

Book of Dogs & Poker Postcards
This gang sure looks like it's been a tough, but fun, night - gambling, drinking and smoking and who knows what they have planned for later.
We were quite taken by this funny postcard - as we are by all dogs playing poker - because of a painting from long, long ago. Our veterinarian was way out in the country - it seemed so many miles away when I was a little girl - but it was only about 5 miles. Dr. McClement was the kindest gentlest man and I was in awe of his knowledge about cats, dogs, birds, horses and even our ducks, turtles and white mice!
Doc's walls were filled with these portraits and I think I really believed that he secretly held card parties for his patients!

Vintage Glass Belmont Seventh Race Ticket Intaglio Cabochon
More Components
Created using a ticket from the Belmont racetrack in New York, this cool little cabochon measures 1-1/8 inch by 7/8 inch and it's about 1/8 thick. Each preserves an image of a ticket for the 7th race for the strangely named horse, ZzCUM. These are old stock intaglio cabochons that have never been used. The one in the illustration is in perfect condition. However, many of these show some wear. You might want to reinforce the back (bottom) of the stone before you use it in your artwork. We like the shabby chic look of the missing pieces of the ticket. Each one reads:
BELMONT 410 100 100 100 ZzCUM ONE 1 1 ONE SEVENTH (7) RACE 7 MAY 55
Around the edges, it reads WIN WIN WIN on either side.

Lottery players and gamblers of all kinds are always seeking good luck charms, amulets, lucky shirts and more. Now we have this traditional powder that suggests it might help. Of course, we make no promises and we're not even sure about the composition of the powder, so please exercise caution if you choose to use it. Even if you don't use it as it is designed, it will probably evoke a smile from the other players when you take it to your next poker game!
The magical powders they create are packaged in paper packages with vibrant artwork.
The packet reads:

Isn't love a game after all? We're not sure, but this reproduction of a French postcard suggests that it might be.

Full Sheet of Vintage Coca-Cola (COKE) Bingo Markers
More Ephemera
More Toys & Games
Coke items are always popular and we love this sheet of vintage Coca-Cola bingo markers! Each of the markers is circular and is perforated, so that you can punch each one out individually, if you please.
The entire sheet is 5-1/2 inches square, making each of the markers around 7/8 inch in diameter. These sheets are new old stock - never used. The top and bottom edges show what looks like some rough wear. But, really it was the perforation for tearing the sheets apart. The sheets came in long strips and were torn off as needed.
These were used for bingo games in charity halls and military canteens in the 1940s through the 1950s.
These are great for lots of reasons! Of course, Coke collectors will love the sheet as is. But, consider punching out the markers and using them in an invitation to a 1940s or 1950s-style party. Or, wouldn't one be just great in scrapbook featuring a World War II romance at the canteen? Cokes were the rage, that's for sure! Although older, they are modern enough looking that they could be used in a modern collage or memory book as well.
At 22¢ per marker, there are just so many possibilities!

Vintage White Clay Poker Chip

More Stuff for Collage & Assemblage
Vintage Red Chip
The Dennison Company from Massachusetts is responsible for so many wonderful vintage items. This poker chip is made of clay and then painted with several layers to indicate value. This particular chip is white and features an inner concentric circle, and within that a four-leaf clover. These illustrations are created in pressed relief - when each chip is created.
These are standard chip size and hail from the early- to mid-20th century.
It would be pretty hard to play poker with only one chip, so we're suggesting that you use this for the base of a brooch or pendant or other collage or altered assembly.

Dogs Playing Poker - 24 Postcards
Among the most popular prints ever produced, CM Coolidge's poker-playing dogs have found a niche in American pop culture. Even those who don't recognize this artist's name know his fun-loving canines, whose all-too-human antics never fail to bring a smile.
In this whimsical card collection, a Saturday-night mood of pool halls, poker tables and cigar-smoking camaraderie combine for a winning hand of twelve humorous vignettes on standard-sized post cards - each one printed twice.

Aunt Sally's Policy Players Dream Book (Facsimile reprint)
More Books
More Metaphysical
This great little reprint is a curiosity for believers an naught alike. Created initially as a system to understand your dreams and apply the meanings to your gambling for luck, Aunt Aunt Sally's Policy Players Dream Book holds nine alphabetical lists of objects, people and situations that might comprise, or indeed, invade, your dreams. These are accompanied by interpretations and associated lucky numbers for playing policy.
Policy was an illegal (and now obsolete) lottery once popular in the African American community, although certainly many others played as well! The reference was also used for playing the numbers as well, a similar illegal betting game. The cover of the book features a certainly politically incorrect illustration, but it is true to the original.
Also included is a reprint of a 19th century French divination system called the Oraculum (or Napoleon's) Book of Fate, based on an old Arabic system of sand-divination commonly called geomancy. You'll also be able to find your own personal lucky (and unlucky) numbers.
This very useful little reference was first published in the 1890s. Ours is a facsimile reprint of a 1920s edition. The 122 pages are both informative and fun.

Morgan's Revenge Pirate Doubloon Game
Captain Henry Morgan has packed up his booty in a hardy bag marked with his picture. The replica golden doubloons and silvery pieces of eight are the treasure that the dreidel-like metal spinner will help you win.
This traditional game of chance finds its origins in ancient Roman Army camps and has long been considered the game of bandits and buccaneers. Although young and old alike will enjoy playing together, it has become quite popular as a drinking game.
Your set arrives in a clear-topped storage box and a 16-page booklet documenting the life and times of Cap'n Morgan as well as the instructions for playing the game.
