Our gorgeous cross has been made by hand in Mexico. The Tiles are traditional talavera pottery, vibrantly painted, while the tin cross shape has been painstakingly cut and hand embossed. The central figure is a hand-painted image of Our Lady of Guadalupe on a talavera tile. The cross measures about 10-1/2 inches by 12-1/2 inches.
This is our favorite of all of our crosses as the darker colors allow Our Lady's image to be highlighted as the centerpiece of the cross.
Because each of these is hand made with hand-painted artwork, yours will be absolutely unique, but similar to the one pictured. Please let us chose one for you.

Our primitive wooden hand-carved Santo offers tribute to the Patron of the Americas, Our Lady of Guadalupe. This is one of our very favorite Santos. While remaining primitive, there is just so much special detail. Her hands are poised and folded in such a manner that they appear to be in the shape of a cross.
This item is hand carved in Central America by traditional artisans who use the time-honored traditions and skills that have been handed down to them for generations.
Such rustic pieces as these are created specifically for a small home altar or nicho. Each Santo is made individually, so please allow for the variation that only true artistic craftsmanship has to offer. You'll know that you have a unique piece of folk art! Due to the handmade nature of our Santos, the sizes vary, but for the most part Our Lady measures about 6-1/4 inches high and 3-1/4 inches wide.

Retablos are portable altars or shrines for contemplation and worship while traveling, at work, etc. Each retablo is hand-painted and is about the size of a matchbox (closed: 2-1/2 inches high by 1-5/8 inch wide and 1 inch deep; open: 2-1/2 inches high by 3-1/4 inches wide by 3/8 inch deep). Our little shrine is made of wood and painted brightly.
SilverCrow's retablo honors Our Lady of Guadalupe, displayed with the Christ child in the center of the triptych. She is accompanied by an angel on either side of her. The figures are hand molded and painted with wonderful detail.
Because these are true folk-art, each is different, although all are similar to the illustration.. All are glorious. Please let SilverCrow choose one for you.

Mini Hand-Painted Reproduction Retablo
Hand-painted on recycled, rusted tin sheet, each of these lovely reproduction retablos features a supplicant praying in request or thanks for a special personal miracle. Each retablo is hand-painted and different from the next. There are men and women and different saints, as well as different stories hand lettered below the original painting. Expect the metal to age gracefully over time.
Traditionally retablos are created to thank, entreat or venerate saints, angels, Jesus or Mary. Many are hung in the backs of churches (sometimes with milagros added). Once the supplicant felt that prayers had been answered, the retablo was then removed to the home.
Retablos are often painted by artists as not all the faithful have talent enough to render their prayers visually. Most retablo art is somewhat primitive and was once considered outsider art.
With help from Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera and their contemporaries, retablo art has become quite collectable in its own right. Seeking to preserve Mexican and other Latin American traditions, Kahlo and Rivera began collecting these wonderful spiritual treasures in the last century.
You might consider framing your retablo in a simple wooden frame (without glass is best!) or shadowbox wooden nichos. We like to hang them in the traditional manner with a single simple nail hammered through the top of the tin right into the wall. Because it is made of tin rather than paper, your nicho will easily stand on an easel as well.
Each of these mini retablos measures 3 by 4 inches approximately and already has a hole at the top for hanging. Some feature the painting 4 inches high by 3 inches wide and others are the opposite - 4 inches wide by 3 inches long.
Every single one is wonderful. We have a nice selection which currently includes Our Lady of Guadalupe, St Michael the Archangel and Our Lady of Grace. We will try to honor your request the best we can. So, if you have a preference for a special saint, we will do our best to honor it. We don't think you'll be disappointed with any one of these wonderful paintings.

Large Church Nicho with Milagros

This gorgeous nicho has been created by the famed Estudio Cielito Lindo in Mexico. It is loaded with detail and ready for you to place in a sacred space of your own. Or, you might choose to embellish it a bit yourself before placing it.
Studded with milagros (which may vary from the picture), each of these features a portrait of Our Lady of Guadalupe honored by an altar inside the niche. You can remove the picture or cover it with one of your own if you so choose. There is also room inside the niche to add some mementos and holy pieces of your own. The niche measures 6 inches high by 3-1/3 inches wide and about 3/4 inch deep. The niche door is glass and closes traditionally.
The cross a the top of the nicho is flanked by spires with working bells for an extra special touch. The entire piece is 12 inches high and 6-1/4 inches wide. The tin work is marvelous and features hand pounded accents as well.
Each nicho is slightly different as they are all hand made. The milagros may vary and the size may vary slightly, but all are equally wonderful!

Sequins really change the vision of an image and this lovely Virgin of Guadalupe sequin appliqué is at once sparkly and simple. It features an exquisite image of the patron of the Americas.
A printed image Our Lady's face is surrounded by colorful sequins in Mexico's national colors and she stands atop a lovely flower and is surrounded by many more flowers (flower colors and placement vary). Some of the appliqués include multicolored flowers as well.
Each appliqué measures just over 12 inches high by about 9 inches wide. The height and width vary slightly depending on the flowers surrounding Our Lady. Because each of these is hand-made, please expect some variation.
Because of the size and the brilliant shimmery colors of the sequins, this is absolutely stunning on denim. Consider this on the back of a jeans jacket or as the focal point of a read-made tote.

We are so proud to offer this fine example of a medal that has been crafted by Native American Indians. It honors Our Lady of Guadalupe and is stamped on the back with her name. Along with the mark indicating that this is sterling silver, there is a maker's hallmark or signature.
The medal measures 1 inch high including the bail and 9/16 inch wide. The outer edge is a rope motif and the image of Our Lady slightly resembles the Santisima Muerte. According to tradition, on December 9, 1531, the Virgin Mary appeared as radiant as the sun to San Juan Diego outside of Mexico City on the hill of Tepeyac. Our Lady of Guadalupe has since become the most beloved saint of Mexico and the protector of the Americas.
