We just love letterpress cards and letters. The elegance of vintage stationery is all but forgotten. We're simply delighted that some smaller companies are offering the same high-quality papers and designs with a modern touch - so we can offer them to you! The simple design represents the simple sentiment so well. And, of course, because it is letterpress, you can feel the letters with your fingers.
This elegant sentiment in light blue letters is appropriate for any time good wishes are warranted, but specifically appropriate for Hannukah:
l'chayim
The literal meaning is:
to life

Oxidized Silvery Chai Charm
This well known symbol, seen worldwide on ornaments, jewelry, T-Shirts and more, is the Hebrew word for living - Chai. It is a combination of the two Hebrew letters Cheit and Yod.
As with any symbol there are many interpretations. Our favorite is that this simple symbol represents the importance of life. The symbol is specific to Jewish culture, but it has been slipping into other cultures easily. The well-know Jewish toast l'chayim means to life. The numerical representation of Chai is 18, so gifts to charity are routinely given in multiples of 18.
Our little charm is made of oxidized silvery metal measures about 5/16 inch high by 1/2 inch wide.

Art Postcard - Maus Mouseholes
From artist and author Art Spiegleman, famous for his graphic novel, Maus: A Survivor's Story, we have this poignant depiction of five mouse huddled within a special hole.
Maus won a special Pulitzer Prize in 1992 as it did not fit any of the classic Pulitzer classifications. The novel is based on many of his father's struggle to survive the Holocaust as a Polish Jew and further how his father's experiences, like those of so many other survivors, reverberate through families and many generations.

Kabbalistic Sephirothic tree Charm
As one of the Four Sephirothic Trees, this symbolism of this silvery charm discloses the organization of the hierarchy controlling the destiny of creation. The four trees represent the four worlds - the Archetypal (Divine), the Creative (Thrones), the Formative, and the Manifest World. Each of the trees is the same, but the powers vested in the globes express themselves differently through the substance of each world, resulting in endless differentiation. Alternatively, the representation often takes the form of a single tree, thus existence being the synergy of all worlds.

6-Pointed Star Nicho
SilverCrow's 6-Pointed Star Nicho is by far one of our favorites. At about six inches (wide and tall), it is special for it's simplicity - but still boasts a lot of detail. The 6-pointed star makes it perfect for a Judaic project as it can represent Star of David.
Nichos are quite popular as shrines in Mexican and other Latin Folk Religions, so, of course, this one may be used in that manner as well. But, they also make great shadowboxes or frames for your artwork.
