Ready to Slice & Bake Fimo Stick/Roll - Star of David
More DIY & Kits
More Jewelry Components
More Collage & Assemblage
More Judaica
We've tried to learn to roll Fimo & other polymer clay into sticks or rolls and we always end up with marbleized clay - a fancy way to say we couldn't come up with a picture. With these, we don't have to worry. The picture has already been rolled into the sticks. So, all you do slice and bake. Don't worry, the instructions are included.
This lovely piece is surrounded by a rainbow of stripes and inside is a blue Star of David with a darker center.
You can slice them to any depth - and can even make the diameter smaller or larger (instructions for this technique included, too). To make a bead or charm, just make a hole before you bake.
Rolls measure 50mm long by 15mm in diameter (about 5/8 inch). So you can make a bunch of beads, components or charms from just one roll!
Instructions are included.

Double-Sided Golden Star and Medallion Dresdens - Package of 3
More Dresdens
More Vintage Dresdens & Scraps
Our six-sided stars feature a solid medallion in the center with a tiny cross of crowns and filigree embossing. Each star measures 2-3/4 inch from at the widest. The internal medallion is 1-1/16 inch in diameter.
The stars are truly versatile and because of their 6 points they might be used for Judaic projects as well.
The internal medallion can be easily removed with careful trimming. We have enjoyed using such medallions as halos for Victorian scrap angel ornaments and as bases for tiny feather tree ornaments!

Six-Pointed Star Nicho with Dotted Tips
More Nichos
Our little star nicho features 6 points that each end with a decorative ball. It's simple lines belie the detail in the handwork on it. The rays emanating from the center actually send focus back to the contents of the niche behind the glass window. The door is latched by the traditional tin spiral. A hanging loop on the back makes this just perfect for hanging on the wall, in a larger wood niche.
Because of the 6 points, it might be just what you need for a Judaic project as it can represent Star of David.
Each star is handmade and will differ slightly from the others, so please let us choose one for you. The approximate measurements are 5-1/2 inches high by 4-1/2 inches wide. The niche itself is 1-1/2 inch wide by 2-1/2 inch high and about 3/4 inch deep.

More Charms
Sterling Silver & Other Chains
The intertwinings of the sterling silver triangles that make up this lovely charm are simply stunning. The strength of the triad in geometry is well known and upon that strength is built this elegant star. There are many theories for the origins of the Magen David (or, Shield of David), including the protection of God from all six directions: north, south, east, west, up and down.
Whatever origin is your belief, this basket weave pattern will represent that belief strongly because of the extra protection of intertwining.
Our charm, not including the extra loop, measures about 11/16 inch high by 9/16 wide.

Die Cut Moses Flexible Greeting Card
More Greeting Cards
More Famous People
One of the most, if not the most important prophet, Moses liberated the Jews from Egypt, received the Ten Commandments from God, transcribed the Torah, and led his people through the desert to the promised land of Israel. Diyanu! (That would have been enough!) But, history tells us he died at the age of 120, able to see the promised land, but forbidden to enter it.
Write your demands to the Pharaoh or to the Higher Power with this Moses greeting card. It arrives, of course, with an envelope, but also with a sticker sheet filled with quotes and greetings.
Our flexible greeting card offers self-stick greetings in the traditional manner (Happy Passover, Happy Birthday and the like), as well as quotes from Moses, such as:
I have been a stranger in a strange land.
Let my people go.
Honor thy father and thy mother.
...and more...
There are also pictures of the tablets, the Star of David, and his staff. The quotes are in assorted fonts, too!

SHALOM
on alternating blue and white traditional papel picado is enchanting! Each of the 10 mini sheets measures 2 by 3-1/2 inches. Strung together in the traditional manner with string, the entire banner measures 3 feet long. This papel picado is hand made by paper cutter artisans and your purchase creates an economic livelihood for traditional artisans, so that the customs and culture may continue through new generations.
We are especially pleased with this design as it melds two cultures in tradition and cultural heritage.
Papel Picado is a traditional art form that is handmade by artisans from Mexico. The brightly colored tissue is hand cut using chisels and a top pattern as a guide. Tissue was actually developed in China and came to the New World through Europe. The Mexican people adopted the tissue for their paper cutting - they had been using hand made paper for the cuttings for generations. Now the thin tissue brings a whole new dimension to the art, allowing the breeze to create an even more festive mood with the lightweight paper!
Perfect for any occasion celebrating peace.

Hand Watercolored Greeting Card - Some Kind of Mission (Rabbi Makito)
More Note Cards
More Christmas
More Hanukah
SilverCrow Creations is proud to offer this wonderful work of art that disguises itself as a note card! Created by J.Stone Cards, one by one, each card measures 3-3/4 by 7-1/4 inches, and is individually hand painted in watercolor on elegant 100% cotton cream colored card stock with a matching envelope.
Such an elegant card was created for the holidays, but might be used for any occasion. The inside presents "a short holiday message as told by Jane Stone":
"Some Kind of Mission" Last Saturday evening, Rabbi Yashita Makito beckoned to a group of carolers from the tiny balcony where she was standing, above the courtyard of her handbuilt brick synagogue in Ardglass, North Ireland. Rabbi Makito is well known throughout Ardglass, for her gentle spirit is like fresh snowflakes falling on bamboo shoot. The caroling villagers saw her and came at once into the courtyard - quietly gathering closer to await her holiday greeting. "Greeting" she said to them, leaning down over the veranda rail (she always spoke just barely above the whisper of young rabbit breath.) "Now remember, if Christmas gets too messy, eat it over the sink." Rabbi Makito (and her keen sensibility) nourishes my vision of peace on earth.

Oxidized Silvery Chai Charm
This well known symbol, seen worldwide on ornaments, jewelry, T-Shirts and more, is the Hebrew word for living - Chai. It is a combination of the two Hebrew letters Cheit and Yod.
As with any symbol there are many interpretations. Our favorite is that this simple symbol represents the importance of life. The symbol is specific to Jewish culture, but it has been slipping into other cultures easily. The well-know Jewish toast l'chayim means to life. The numerical representation of Chai is 18, so gifts to charity are routinely given in multiples of 18.
Our little charm is made of oxidized silvery metal measures about 5/16 inch high by 1/2 inch wide.

Maus won a special Pulitzer Prize in 1992 as it did not fit any of the classic Pulitzer classifications. The novel is based on many of his father's struggle to survive the Holocaust as a Polish Jew and further how his father's experiences, like those of so many other survivors, reverberate through families and many generations.

Kabbalistic Sephirothic tree Charm
More Talismans, Religious Charms and the Like
As one of the Four Sephirothic Trees, this symbolism of this silvery charm discloses the organization of the hierarchy controlling the destiny of creation. The four trees represent the four worlds - the Archetypal (Divine), the Creative (Thrones), the Formative, and the Manifest World. Each of the trees is the same, but the powers vested in the globes express themselves differently through the substance of each world, resulting in endless differentiation. Alternatively, the representation often takes the form of a single tree, thus existence being the synergy of all worlds.
