Although these ornaments are meant to represent the devil, we're not so sure as they are all quite comical and fun! The artist, Jimenez, has sculpted natural materials and clay to create his masks. So there are so very few that look even close to the same, so we are quite lucky that we have some that are quite similar. These are miniature versions of the masks displayed on so many walls and worn during so many holiday celebrations.

Each time we order these scary but fun masks, we get completely different designs. Even though some are our favorites, we may never see them again!

No two are exactly the same, so please let us choose one for you. There is a self-loop on the back for hanging. The approximate measurements are 2-1/4 inches high by 2-1/2 inches wide.

Born in Brooklyn of a mother who was Puerto Rican and a father of Haitian descent, young graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat's legend has lived longer than he did. His works, often labeled neo-Expressionist, emerged from his graffiti and the beginnings of what is now known as hip-hop. A child of the sixties (born, in fact, in 1960), he was internationally recognized in his early 20s, and was gone by 27.

His work is mostly untitled, as is this image, but it is generally known as Mask. Interestingly enough, the main character appears to already be wearing a mask! We like the cat-like image and thought you might as well!

From about 1901 (right after the Victorian period) up to about 1910, or even as late as 1918 (after World War I), British society suffered a very rigid system, despite the new philosophies and politics floating about. The want (and need) for more liberal thought and a move for greater social acceptance of all British started despite the seemingly unmovable morés at the time.

These paper card-stock masks uniquely represent the graphical art of the 40s, 50s and 60s popular in the US. Their vivid colors are almost as vibrant as when they were produced, even after all of these years!

We know that these masks are probably politically incorrect today. And, we certainly do not want to offend anyone!

Such masks were popular styles in the mid 20th Century. Each is brilliantly printed in bright colors and with interesting detail. We believe that these are chromolithographed items, but we cannot be sure

There are perforated tabs on either side to punch out to add a ribbon or elastic for someone to wear these as masks, as intended. However, we think they are just wonderful as framed items or as memorabilia of the past. Many of the masks boast tabs that are still intact, never having been punched out. However, some of the perforated items have been lost through the years.

The eyes are perforated as well. The wearer would punch out the eyes (so s/he could actually see when wearing the mask).

Each of the masks measures about 7-1/2 inches wide (ear to ear) by about 10 inches high. Of course, there is a notch for the wearer’s nose.

These were a fantastic find! They are old store stock and have never been used. The woman from whom we bought these tells SilverCrow that she sold quite a lot of these some time ago. She couldn’t remember if it was in the 50s or 60s, as she raised children in both decades and dressed even more children for Halloween!

We have sorted out the very damaged masks, and most are in pristine condition. We will ship the ones in the best condition first, so, be sure to order right away - when they're gone - they're gone!

This is really hard to find - at least we thought so until now! These black elastics have barbs on either end. Designed to hold on a party hat or a mask, we're sure you'll find many more uses. Each elastic measures 12 inches from barb to bar. To use, created a tiny hole on either side of the mask or hat and feed the barb through the hole. Repeat on the other side. Well-researched and accurately rendered, this authentic array of traditional Native American masks will delight coloring book fans of all ages.

Derived from the ritual and recreational traditions of Native American Indians across the continent, 30 imaginative masks differ in size, shape and weight. Used for a variety of events and purposes, these disguises depict the long-haired Iroquois Rim-Dweller; a Cattaraugus Seneca Doorkeeper; an Eskimo dance mask from King Island in Alaska; a highly decorative Makah Dancing mask; an Iroquois False Face Mask; a Navaho Ceremonial mask, accented with an enormous collar of leaves: the Hopi Powamu mask; the Kwakiutl bear-spirit mask; a Tlingit raven mask (our favorite) and many others.

Each mask is accompanied by a caption describing the motif and identifying the tribe of origin. 32 pages.
