The scrap relief sheet is approximately 9 inches by 7 inches, ready for you to clip and use in your artwork. The lady's image measures 8-1/4 by 4 inches.
And each sheet is lightly and artfully embossed to accent the expert die cutting - so well done, that very little trimming is necessary. These Santas are all outlined in white, so you may choose to trim them closer, but the edges are distinct, making this an easy proposition.

Such crosses were worn by the choir members (and still are) over their cassocks & surplices. We are, of course, quite taken by them as they are vintage.
This style of cross would be excellent for assemblage jewelry as the surface on either side is absolutely flat - so that you can add your embellishments easily with adhesive or solder. Or, you might choose to change the ribbon that holds them and add a chain or leather thong for a different look.
We have not cleaned them in any fashion - that's up to you, should you choose to do so! Many of them are patinaed and look even better (we think) than they might have as new.
The cross measures 2-1/2 inches tall (including the hanging loop) and about 1-1/2 inch from side to side. Each cross arrives with a rattail cord or ribbon (most are black; some have faded) and with a case so that the choir member might carry it along to the performance safely.

Vintage Large White Faux Pearl Dimpled Glass Rosary Chain by the Inch

We love this vintage pearlized dimpled glass chain. It has been created in the rosary style with a single silvery link between two beads.
The beads are all relatively the same size, but differ slightly so that they might resemble the real thing! The average size is about 5/8 inch long by 1/2 inch wide and about 1/8 inch thick.
Please be aware that the pearlized coating is flaking off. Bt, it is such beautiful chain that you might want to rub all of the finish off, or spray it with some kind of fixative to keep it from flaking more.
Add just an inch or two to a special assemblage for a special look. Use several lengths to make a great looking tassel! To separate, gently open a loop on one side of the chain and slip the other side off the loop. Then close the open loop.

A California artist makes these delightful pendants for SilverCrow! Each is a 2-sided hand-made paper collage encased in glass and silver solder. Cat lovers will agree that our feline friends are good for just about everything. Or, that we need no reason to love them.
On the front of this sweet pendant is a little fairy girl with here white kitty sipping at an old-fashioned enamel bowl of milk.
On the back, it reads

atop a frenzied feline and little girl's shoes!
Although every piece is different because the pendants are handmade, each combines vintage photographs, papers and words. This is also striking with an added ribbon, draped over the corner of a mirror or a framed picture you and your best buddy.

This tiny pump looks great facing either direction. As you can see from the photograph, the inside of shoe is open, so you might even choose to use this in some manner with a teensy doll.

We have no idea where we got these. We were going to make something from them (we can't remember what), so we thought maybe you could find something interesting to do with them!
These are very fine hoops (the metal is 1mm at most!) They measure 1-1/2 inch when you include the lip at the top and they are 1-1/4 inch in diameter. At regular intervals, there are indentations, so you might easily make a miniature dream catcher from one of them as the string or wire would hold nicely as you weave your web for dreams.

Vintage French Souvenir Component Featuring Notre Dame de Paris & the Fleur di Lis

Used to make souvenirs in the 1940s through the 1960s, these white metal components are bright silver that has been blackened for accent. The central image of the cathedral is silver on lightly enameled black background.
On the main side is the cathedral and the other side features a silvery fleur di lis. There are either 2 holes on each side or two holes on one side and 1 on the other. So these are best used as components in a bracelet or as a centerpiece of a necklace. You'll find the images distinctive and some even have the name of the landmark on them. Some are a bit different from each other, but most are the same as this one.
The component measures 5/8 inch high and wide and a bit less than 1/16 inch thick.
These were made for novelty bracelets and necklaces sold to tourists in the mid-20th century but are way beyond novelty quality for their age.

Teensy Little Handmade Wicker Basket

Modern Milagro Quetzalcoatl Charm in Sterling Silver Signed by the Artist
Known as the feathered serpent, Quetzalcoatl has been revered in Mesoamerican cultures since the 5th century. The Aztec culture seems to mention Quetzalcoatl more than others and relates him to the gods of the wind and dawn. He is also associated with merchants, artisans, learning and knowledge. He is quite striking and might appear scary to some, but as a protector to others.
The charm is signed by the artist, but is not hallmarked as sterling silver, although we were told that it was when we purchased them.
Each charm is hand finished and measures 1 inch wide by 7/8 inch high. This is a flat charm which almost makes it appear as a petroglyph of sorts. This might be facing either way.

Mini Golden Miraculous Medal
This lovely Miraculous Medal features the Blessed Mother Mary. The famous miraculous medal is usually associated with infants as Saint Catherine Labouré created the medal after she awoke on the night of July 18, 1830, hearing the voice of a child. She was called by the child to the chapel in Paris where she was a nun. The Blessed Virgin Mary gave her a mission to go forward and spread the word of God and she was blessed with God's grace to do so. The image of Mary that is found on the Miraculous Medal is also called Our Lady of Grace.
Because many people who have worn the medal featuring Our Lady of Grace have enjoyed healing and transformation - and even conversion, the medal has come to be known as The Miraculous Medal.

Larger Miniature Plate of Tostadas
When we discovered these little trays of food, we were in awe! How tremendously detailed they are. When we ordered them from the artist, we asked for them to be similar, so that we could feature them here at SilverCrow. They are all similar to the one in the photograph, but please allow for the variation that makes hand-made goods so special.
Each platter contains 4 to 6 tostadas. and is made mostly of red clay or terra cotta. There may be a few additional "ingredients" used to produce the tomatoes, cheese, lettuce and more on top of each little delicacy.
The pictured tray measures 2-1/16 inch in diameter and features 5 servings. There will be slight differences in the one you receive.
The back features a hanging hole if you choose to hang this or attach it to your shrine or other miniature project. But, we're not sure why one would hang food on a wall!

These are new motifs made in the fashion of vintage tin toys. They are painted on both sides, but only one side shows the detail. As you can see from the photograph, the pig and rider may be facing either way.

Small Silver-Plated Saint Francis of Assisi Icon

We usually are not attracted to all metal icons, but this St Francis Icon is the exception. We are particularly enamoured with this image of the holy saint and this small, beautiful silver-plated icon is set upon a wooden base.
The silver-plated top is accented with incredible ornate 24-karat gold plate and other silver accents in highly detailed repoussée. The metal coverings on the wood base are also known as rizas. The riza uses a scrolled floral pattern as a frame to accent St. Francis' portrait and covers the less important areas of the icon.

We hated to part with them because they are so well made of hard plastic. Some even have the vintage stickers from the original products on them!

Our cool reversible charm features a red star on one side and an intricate tattoo flash on the other. The tattoo image is loaded with symbols: a pierced heart, a snake, a sword. flowers and a banner that reads:

We love these hand-made tin ornaments because of their craftsmanship and their meanings. We are reminded of the continuity and connections in life.
Our little bug is made of tin and painted in vibrant colors (which may vary slightly). After S/he is hand cut and measures approximately 4-5/8 inches long by 3 inches wide.
This interesting tin ornament has been created by Mexican artisans in the old tradition and then hand painted or adorned. The tin is embossed and debossed for effect and this helps to make the roach appear as though s/he is already moving.

Vintage Pressed Glass Charm - Deep Cobalt Blue Stylized Dog

Originally sold in the Five & Dime stores back in the 1920s and 1930s, this very special pressed glass charm was made in Japan. It measures about 3/8 inch in diameter - not including the little loop.
The color in the glass is slightly variegated, with the main color of each charm is a gorgeous light blue. Even the string is original (the color of the string may vary from the one pictured).
These are new old stock - never used. We even found them in the original box marked Made in Japan. These were manufactured as a novelty - perhaps for a little girl's charm bracelet, so please allow for some variability.

This stunning bowl hails from the largest African Tribe (the Zulu). The Zulu have long been known for unmatched skill and artistry in weaving baskets from native grasses. Urban Zulu, faced with little access to natural materials, are now fashioning the same baskets from recycled telephone wire. This bright, washable and sturdy basket, or mbenge, is one of many created in unlimited colors combinations of intricate, mesmerizing designs. No two are alike - as the colors of the wire available and the patterns differ!
This gorgeous bowl will make a striking statement in any room - the red, black and white wires are quite stunning. The colors are the same in each of the bowls and the patterns are very, very similar, but not exactly the same - making each bowl a masterpiece work of art that only you will have.
You can certainly use this sturdy little bowl or just display it as elegant décor. It measures about 6-1/2 inches in diameter and from the table to the top of the bowl, it is 2-1/2 inches.
Wash in warm, soapy water. As it is woven, please don't expect it to hold liquids. It is not dishwasher safe. We recommend that you not use this for unwrapped food.

It is so much fun to find things in their original packaging! We love buttons especially. There are lots of newer buttons that are cleverly made on the market, but somehow the old ones have a more wonderful look and feel to them - even the plain ones like these! Be it imagination that causes such a phenomenon, we don't care, we think them ever so much more special!
These are hard plastic ivory buttons - 3/4 inch in diameter (size 30). Each has 4 holes for sewing on to your project. Made by LaMode in the 1970s or 1980s, they were originally 80¢ per card. Some of the buttons are sewn onto the card. Other card feature stapled-on buttons.
The original cards are all intact, but some show slight wear. The style is #46209. Each card reads on the back:

These politically incorrect Indian Chief Headdresses were made as a give-away advertisement for the White Castle Hamburger restaurants in the mid-20th century. We know that they were offered before 1963, because there is no zip code in the address.
We love the earth tone coloring of the feathers and the bead-printed bands. But the extra-special feature is that these can be adapted for children or adults to wear!
On the front it reads:
ME BIG CHIEF! - BUY ONLY White Castle ALL-BEEF HAMBURGERS
On the back are the instructions for sizing for an adult or a child to wear. The bottom band is detachable and the pre-punched slots make it easy to size correctly for your head.
The measurements before you assemble the headdress are 15 inches wide by 6-5/8 inches high Made from pliable, but sturdy cardstock, these are in superb condition for their age, showing only slight discoloration on the back, as only a true vintage item would age.
The green printing on the back indicates that these were produced by the Paperlynen Company of Columbus, Ohio.

These hand made glass eyes were made for plush animals and dolls as well as for taxidermy projects. They are vintage - we approximate their origins to be the 1920s or 1930s.
There are slight differences from eye to eye - in size, color and even slightly in shape, making them much more alluring for use in collage, assemblage and artwork than in traditional doll-making or taxidermy.
The back of the eye is similar to a cowrie shell, with the glass folding back upon itself. Each is a approximately 9/16 inch from side to side, 5/16 inch from top to bottom and has a 3/16 inch profile.

Miniature 20th Century 32 Caliber Snub Nose Revolver Pendant (A Real Mini Cap Gun)
When we purchased these little guns, we thought they were a lot smaller than they are. We thought they would be cute little charms. Instead, they are much larger. At first we were quite disappointed, and then we decided they'd make interesting pendants. There is a hanging loop at the base of the pistol's handle for you to attach it to a necklace, leather lace or even a ribbon (what a contrast that might be).
The little derringer will also double as a cap pistol, firing one cap at a time.

This interesting pendant has been created from a miniaturized version of an early black and white photograph - probably from the 1930s or 1940s. Although not as advertised as nudity is in today's world, images like this were much more available back then.
The image has been set in sterling silver and the image has been set nicely in resin. The pendant measures 1-1/8 inch high (without the hanging loop or bail). The bail and loop add an additional 3/8 inch. It is 5/8 inch wide.
While this image is risqué for its time - and it still is a bit naughty even for today - the photograph was tastefully shot with fine composition.

Golden Vintage Style Ouija Board Charm
The first talking board, similar to the Ouija board was used in China around 1100 BC. The origins of the name Ouija are less known and more highly debated. The first modern Ouija board was patented in 1891 and was quite similar to the ones we know today.
This little Ouija planchette is a replica of the the directional pointer that people use when reading the future, past or the mysteries metaphysical world with a ouija board. It measures 3/4 inch high by 1/2 inch wide. The hanging hole is interestingly enough placed almost in the middle of the point and is larger than usual. This represents the open space in the full-size planchette.

Rare Vintage Hand-Glittered White Honeycomb Tree on Wooden Base
From the mid-20th century, our fun Santa ornaments are made of white and green tissue paper and are ready for you to add to your vintage holiday décor.
Measuring 4-3/4 inches high by about 2 inches in diameter (at the widest point), this little tree has been hand glittered and rests on a wire trunk secured in a hand-painted golden wood base. Each of the trees features the original MADE IN JAPAN sticker label on the bottom.
As with all honeycomb ornaments, the tissue is stiff, assuring that the ornament retains its basic shape. Each has been lightly covered with a white snow and a touch of golden glitter.
In great condition for their age, some of the ornaments show a touch of wear. We're showing two trees for illustration only.

Vintage Brown Hand Blown Glass Doll eye with Stem
Vintage porcelain dolls from Germany would always have hand-blown glass eyes like these - so beautiful that they almost look real! Ours all measure about 5/8 inch from stem to the front of the eye and the eyeball itself measures about 1/2 inch in diameter.
The eyes' iris coloring is exquisite - unmatched by the eyes produced today. These hail from the mid-20th century or earlier.
Of course these can be used for their original purpose - creating dolls, or, indeed, for repairing them. But, we also love odd things like these added to assemblages, memory boxes, nichos and ofrendas! What fun!

When we discovered these little plates of food, we were in awe! How tremendously detailed they are. These enchanting sequins are unused old store stock from the 1920s and 1930s. These are shiny red sequins that measure about 20mm by 12mm. We bought a huge amount some time ago and these were loose from the strands. They are perfect for embellishing all kinds of things.
Warning: In bunches, these have an unpleasant scent. Early plastics, such as the celluloid in these sequins often contained formaldehyde and other unpleasant additives. Once separated, the scent dissipates and the sequins are in fine condition for use.

Mother's Day
Saint Gerard Majella was the son of a tailor in Italy. He was quite devout but suffered bad health and was not able to become a Capuchin monk as he wished. He later became a Redemptor monk and was falsely accused of impregnating a woman, who later recanted and repented. Because of this, Saint Gerard has become well known as the protector and patron of pregnancies, expectant mothers, childbirth and motherhood. He has also been known as a an antecedent for the falsely accused.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a treasured representation of the Blessed Virgin Mary that has been associated with a Byzantine icon or image of the same name. There is some controversy about the original date of the image - ranging from the 13th through the 15th centuries. The actual icon is in Rome and has been there since the late 1400s.
This is a highly recognizable image of the Virgin Mary holding the Baby Jesus in her arms. Catholics have prayed to the Blessed Mother to intercede on their behalf, with her son, Jesus, for help. Perhaps the reason for the popularity of the image is Mary's gaze directly at the viewer, rather than down at her son, conveying her care for the world at large and individuals in particular.
This image is particularly special to us as it was our Grandmother's favorite. Although we never knew her, we have heard of her patience, kindness and open arms of love. And, this lovely medal features a very detailed image of Our Lady.

Perfect for your Christmas putz (under-tree display), this fun vintage plastic set was really created as an early birthday cake topping set.
Although usually attributed to Walt Disney, the story of Snow White was really a fairy tale created by the Brothers Grimm.
All 7 Dwarfs: Dopey, Grumpy, Doc, Sneezy, Happy, Bashful and Sleepy are included. Some even have shovels, carts and other accoutrements. Snow White herself is lovely in her pink gown. The lovely lass measures 3 inches high by 1-1/4 inch wide at the base.

Sometimes the larger nichos are just too big - especially if you want to add to an assemblage or other mixed-media artwork. This little nicho is even small enough for you to use as a pendant, if you thread a silken ribbon or necklace through the back.
This little hand-painted nicho can also be used as a little frame. The glass window will hold a picture about 3/4 inch square. But, with some patience, other mementos can be added in the slot, similar to a standard-sized nicho.
Each of these has been hand-painted and will resemble the sample in the photograph. Of course, because of the hand-made nature of the piece, please allow for some variation.. The opening is in the back - just flip up the little metal closure. There is even a self-hanger loop on the back, so that you can use it a pendant or in a doll house, if you like.

Small Plastic Statue of Saint Theresa

This finely detailed, sweet little statute of St Theresa measures just 2-1/4 inches tall and about 3/4 inch wide. Because this is such a small statue, it is wonderful for a tiny altar or nicho.
St Theresa was well known for caring for the sick and for the poor. Born in France in the 19th century, she has been a favorite patron of children and adults alike.
Although we do not ever advocate small items for children, it has been suggested that such statues as these be taken to church with the children instead of toys.

These are vintage and each shows a wonderful patina that only age brings to bear. Chemical aging cannot hold a candle to the real thing!

These gorgeous clock or watch faces are German chromolithographed embossed scraps from the early twentieth century. They feature wonderful colors and detail as well as metallic gold ink. We have divided these rare scraps into random groups of four to make them affordable.

16-Inch Temporarily Strung Coffee Bronze Colored Freshwater Pearls with Top Side Drilling
These unique hand-dyed fresh water pearls are a gorgeous coffee bronze - resembling coffee beans shimmering in the sun. They are uniquely drilled from side to side, but at the top rather than at the middle of the bead, so that they can hang in a more modern fashion. The pearls are flat-backed, so that you might choose to glue them to your projects, too. The tops are rounded and slightly irregular, with that natural appeal.

First, each tin milagro heart is and then hammered. Well, sometimes it is hammered and then cut. The hammering creates the embossed design within the ornament - the heart, the outline and the flame. Then these are antiqued and chipped to resemble an ages old milagro
Each heart is similar to the one pictured, but because all of them are hand-made by traditional artisans, please expect some slight variation.

What a wonderful doll kit - a vintage warehouse find. It arrives in its original box - as none of the parts have ever been removed from the boxes, we didn't want to spoil them by removing them for a photograph.
These are each old store stock - never used. Each box holds 5 pieces the glorious white bisque hand-painted head. The cap is dark, dark blue with painted black dots. Also included are 2 arms and 2 legs. The legs feature hand-painted shoes and socks.
Such dolls were generally created with cloth (usually muslin) bodies and the head arms and legs were sewn to this piece, which looked much like a pillow. Then clothing was made of silk or rayon to adorn the doll in just the right manner!
The head measures about 3-1/4 inch high.

We can't really figure out why we love these old ornaments so much. But, we do. This fantastic wreath hails from the mid-20th century and has everything you would want in such a collector's piece. It is bright green and dusted with faux snow and then loaded with aluminum foil glitter.
Accented by a red satin bow, the real pine cone has been tinted red as well. Even the vintage hanger is still attached to some of these!

This fun little device has been around for some time, but we love it! It's really called a name badge and arrives with magnetic holder so that you can wear it. Or you might sit it on your desk or jazz up your artwork. Extra batteries are readily available at most electronics or big box stores.
The characters are red and you can program your own 6 messages. It will store up to 512 characters. The instructions are on the package and another set comes within, just in case. You can adjust the brightness and scrolling speed, too.
We thought the instructions just a bit hard to follow, but once we got the hang of it, it wasn't that bad. Prepare to have some patience ready, or give it to a youngster to do for you (with supervision of course).

Small Bird Nicho with Arched Top

Of course we love birds and this lovely protector is no exception. Flying beneath a sweet arched nicho that has been hand cut and accented with hammering and embossing, the bird seems to be carrying the soul of what is displayed inside.
In many cultures, the crow is a protector of souls and spirits, so we choose to believe that this, too, is a crow, doing just such wonders with the little nicho.
The nicho measures 5-5/8 inches from the top of the arch to the bottom of the flying bird and 3-1/4 inches wide a the bottom of the framed portion of the nicho. The glass door opens from the front and latches with the traditional rolled metal closure. The niche itself measures 1-1/2 inch wide by 2 inches high and just over 3/8 inch deep.
There is a self hook on the back for hanging. Or you might choose to use the arch to add this as an ornament on your holiday tree. It can also be used to hand from the hand of a larger Santo or statue.

We are delighted with this wonderful nicho-style shelf! It is deeper than most nichos, allowing for a glorious display of your artwork and memories.
You might choose to make an ofrenda or memory shelf for your entire family - with one generation (or more) per shelf. There are just so very many possibilities!
This lovely nicho shelf is open with no glass so that you might change the display as you choose throughout the year. The top (behind the upper concha) is recycled glass - allowing light to accent the items you display on the top shelf.
The entire piece (with the concha top) measures about 11 inches high by 4 inches wide and a full 3 inches deep. Each of the shelves allows for about 3 inches (in height) of display.
The top two shelves feature scalloped repoussée trim. The top shelf is framed in slightly in a matching pattern giving a super look to the entire piece.

Large Sun Nicho with Shrine to Our Lady of Guadalupe
Our Lady of Guadalupe is the focal point of this lovely nicho. The artist has created a small shrine to the Blessed Patron of the Americas inside a stunning large sun nicho.
The niche of the piece is round and measures 5-1/2 inches in diameter by a touch over 2 inches deep! The rays emanating from the sun create an 8-1/2 inch diameter for the final piece.
We adore the rounded glass door that closes with a slide latch. Once the glass is open, you'll better see the the scalloped framing.
The artist has glittered the inside back of the niche and added small flowers, holy cards and trims. Each of the nichos has been decorated slightly differently (some with tinted metal!), but with the same theme. These can be removed if you choose. The depth of the piece allows you to add your own milagros, statues, prayers and treasures.

Vintage Hand Painted Fabric Leaves from the 1950s

It seems to us that the vintage millinery leaves and flowers are so much more distinctive than those we find today. Perhaps that's because most of the older pieces such as these were made by hand - even the stems were hand wrapped.
These lovely stems each include a wired stem with three hand-painted fabric leaves. The leaf color is fabulous - almost olive through pale green and tipped with the subtlest of purples.
The fabric leaves have been created on millinery irons - each leaf measuring 1-3/8 inch long by 1 inch wide. From the tip-top of the the upper leaf to the bottom of the wire stem, the measurement is 5-7/16. From tip to tip it measures 2-15/16 inches wide.

Made of glass with a snug fitting cork, it measures about 1-1/3 inch high and will hold 2 milliliters (about 1/4 ounce). Guardería Nicho with Etched Glass and Star
How special this little nicho is. It is accented with etched glass - partially framing the top of the opening. The etched leaves add a sweetness and elegance to the piece all at once. The scalloped base adds a finishing touch that makes it ever more the special piece.
The roof of the nicho reminds one of the terra cotta roofs of the southwest United States and in Mexico. The entire piece is made of tin and glass.
The most endearing feature is its optional five-pointed star that rises above the nicho. (This part is attached inside the nicho and you may add if you choose to the top by sliding the wire into an opening on the roof.
There is a triangle self-hook on the back that allows you to hang this on the wall if you choose. Or, you might enjoy it sitting neatly on a table or shelf amongst your other treasures.
Behind the tin roof is a glass top that will let the light shine from above to illuminate the contents of your nicho.

Well, even Oprah tried it, so we guess pole dancing isn't as taboo as it once was. Our Day of the Dead Pole Dancer represents that sensual part of all of us.
All of our Day of the Dead figures are made by traditional artisans and are hand sculpted and painted by traditional Mexican artisans. Each of these Muertas measures about 3 inches high, but the pole may make it larger. Vintage German Santa Face Chromolithographed Scrap Picture
When we first found these, we though them to be vintage stickers. We've since discovered that they were single die cuts made to top special Christmas cookies, be they stollen or gingerbread! These would normally be attached with icing (used like glue).
Because these are vintage and we're not sure of their complete provenance, we would suggest that you not use them on food directly.
Each little die cut measures not quite 3 inches high by about 1-5/16 inch wide. It is very lightly embossed.
They are nicely cut and in great shape for their age. we expect that they are from the 1940s or earlier.

As soon as we got them, we found out that they were old stock and we can't get anymore! They were made in the 1980s or 1990s in the style of the 1950s (whew!). The mask is held on with elastic and offers openings for breathing, seeing and talking or tasting that Hallowe'en candy!
This gooney clown mask is made of rigid molded plastic and holds its shape well. It measures about 8-1/4 inches high by 6-1/4 inches wide and is about 2-1/2 inches deep.

Vintage Silver Mercury Glass Bead Triple Spray Stem with Silver Tips
We just love these sprays of tiny mercury glass beads - the older the better! These hail from the 1950s or earlier and show some sign of aging. Each spray measures about 6 inches long. Each stem is comprised of 3 beaded wires with silver foil tips. Then all three have been wrapped together to form a spray of sorts.
Some of the beads are missing, others have aged a bit. We think this a part of their charm. Most of these still have the original Made in Japan tissue tag intact!
You might also choose to dismantle the spray and use the tiny beads to make vintage-style ornaments with authentic vintage pieces. Or, you can separate the 3 pieces in the spray.

We just love these sprays of tiny mercury glass beads - the older the better! These hail from the 1950s or earlier and show some sign of aging. Each spray measures from 6 to 7 inches long. Originally sold in the Five & Dime stores back in the 1920s and 1930s, this very special pressed glass charm was made in Japan. It measures about 1/2 inch wide by about 5/8 inch long (including the hanging loop). It is in excellent vintage condition, especially for a novelty item.
The color in the glass has slight variations, with the main color of each charm is definitely green. Even the string is original (the color of the string may vary from the one pictured).
These are new old stock - never used. We even found them in the original box marked Made in Japan. These were manufactured as a novelty - perhaps for a little girl's charm bracelet, so please allow for some variability in finishing.

When we purchased these little guns, we thought they were a lot smaller than they are. We thought they would be cute little charms. Instead, they are much larger. At first we were quite disappointed, and then we decided they'd make interesting pendants. Little Vintage Hand Tinted Praying Angel Ornament
Angel lovers and holiday collectors alike will fall in love with this sweet angel with her hand held to her breast in prayer.
Made of hard plastic in the 1970s or 1980s, she was then tinted or painted by hand. You'll be happy to see the variation from angel to angel. Her little wings are pure white, as they should be for any angel. The angels' gowns are a shade of red that has a vintage feel to it. We are quite taken with the subtle shadows of the gown created by the artisans. Her hair is light brown.
What a lovely, simple image she presents. These are vintage ornaments (new old stock that has never been used). We are showing several angels (including one from the back). The tip of her right wing is impressed with the word GERMANY.

Candle followers (aka candle burners and wax savers) are most often seen in churches on the altar candles. When properly fitted, such followers allow the candle to burn longer and more evenly, minimizing problems.
These candle followers hail from the 1930s and bear the US Patent Number 2017533-0.
These are made to fit candles that measure 1 inch in diameter. It is important to use the proper follower with the correct size candle.
Because these are vintage, we thought you would appreciate their lovely patina created only by time. We like them just this way. However, churches are usually sure to polish these for a glistening shine. To remove any accumulated wax from the follower, immerse it in warm water and wipe clean with a soft cloth. Use of abrasives may effect the finish of the followers.

We made these little charms from hand-painted ceramic Sugar Skull Beads and included them in our SilverCrow Day of the Dead Bracelet Kit. We've gotten so many requests for them that we just had to make some to offer to you.
These are created from handmade beads from Peru that have been hand painted, then we created a loop of beads to change it into a charm! The bead measures about 3/4 inch high by 1/2 inch wide. The loop makes it about 1 inch high (give or take a few millimeters).
Each one is completely different from the next due to the selection of the beads and the handmade nature of the charm. We're showing 3 charms so that you might see the variability.
Please be careful with these as the beads are ceramic and glass seed beads. Due to the nature of their design, they are not as sturdy as a soldered charm.

We think the older crystals seemed more brilliant - or at least more interesting. These bars are lightly faceted and are really quite alluring. Each measures 12mm long by 5mm wide and has a profile of about 3mm. What a great border for a tiara or crown.
These can be sewn or, more easily, glued on to your project. We are showing several so that you might see the front and back. You may be able to remove the gold backing, but we have not tried to do this.

We started using Dead Sea Salt for making our own scented bath salts years ago. The therapeutic aspect of the salts is absolutely amazing! Previously, we were using Epsom Salts, which worked well, but they just can't compare with the salts of the Dead Sea. In fact, many people have been known to bathe in the Dead Sea for the healing power of the mud and salts.
The salts from the Dead Sea are rich with minerals, containing large proportions of Potassium, Magnesium and Bromide. Potassium assists in the regulation of your skin's moisture level. Bromide is a smoothing and relaxing effect and magnesium is known to promote healing. These salts make a great exfoliate and will help draw out the toxins in your skin, revitalizing it in the process.
The Salts of the Dead Sea are also known to relieve aches and pains, reduce stiffness and relax the muscles. The will promote relief of skin problems, too, such as acne, eczema and psoriasis. Of course, it is not a complete cure, but it does work well due to the high mineral content. These minerals stimulate blood and lymphatic circulation - moving trapped fluids in the joints and tissues. The exfoliation also encourages new skin cell regeneration.
The salt grains are about the size of pretzel salt and may have become dry once packaged. Simply break apart the grains with a fork or a spatula.
You can use this alone to make a bath salt, body polish or foot scrub. Or mix it with Epsom Salts to reduce your cost. You can use it as is, or add fragrance and color if you choose.

Small Hand Carved, Fired & Glazed Scarab Bead

This interesting little scarab beads are hand made in Egypt. Each is different, as they are hand carved out of soft steatite stone and then drilled. The next step has them kiln-fired and glazed. The nature of the production creates a matte finish that is quite gorgeous and earthy.
Part of an ancient tradition of wearing protective amulets, the scarab wearer is considered to be endowed by the qualities that the amulet represents. It is believed that that such scarabs will protect against evil forces and that good fortune will be on its way.
Beetles by nature are hard-working and persistent in their quest to continue their species. Such persistence is evident in rolling a dung-ball, from which new life would be born - and being guided by the light of the moon towards new life that sun brings with the dawn.
We think they'll be lovely as earrings or, certainly as an embellishment for any earth-inspired project.

What fun to serve your next dessert in these old-time waxed paper ice cream cups. They are made of heavy paper that has been coated with wax - insuring that any melted ice cream won't leak through the paper. Now, these are still produced in some form, but not like these originals made by the Sweetheart Cup Division of the Maryland Cup Corporation. Each holds 3 fluid ounces of ice cream (or anything else).
The label on either reads:

The base is inset to create a footing for the cup so that it doesn't move easily on (or off) the table. On the inner lip of the base, it reads:

We just loved the original box full of these wondrous crystal. Some were loose and we took a photograph of the package when we opened it. The chaton (aka, chatton) cut is particularly elegant due to its supreme clarity and brilliance which is due to the particular style of cutting. Bicones are by far the most popular crystal bead shape because the of the splendid refraction in the crystal when cut in this double pyramid shape.
Our crystals were made in the 1940s or early 1950s in what was then Czechoslovakia. These sweet clear crystal bicone chatons have been made with the famed precision and artistic clarity of the Czech glass and crystal makers.
These are 5mm wide and 7mm long. The hole for stringing runs through the 7mm length.

Vintage Hard Plastic Half Walnut Shell Ornament Component
These old-fashioned hard plastic walnut shells are the coolest thing ever for making specialty miniature ornaments.
Use the half-shell as is, or glue a fabric tape or other sturdy material (duct tape will even work on the inside floor of the shell and attach another half-shell to make your walnut close.
Each half features a little loop at the top to add a hanging thread or cord. You might choose to snip off the loop and allow the walnut shell to sit the flat base on a table or under your feather tree.
The matte finish helps to make the shell look almost real. These are high quality hard plastic and were made in Germany and should last through generations.

What wonderful memories these wee little mushrooms conjure - magical Christmases, good luck wishes, and, let us not forget the gnomes who must use these for tables and umbrellas!
Made from hard composition material in the mid-20th century, these wee little mushrooms are quite detailed - from the white dots atop their caps to the tiny speckled spores beneath.
These arrive much like flower stamens - there are 2 mushrooms per stem. Each package contains 3 stems, for a total of 6 wee little red topped amanita mushrooms.
The caps measure about 5mm in diameter and from the top of the cap to the point at which the stem of the mushroom meets the wire stem, it measures about 5/8 inch. There will be some variation as these are handmade.
These pretty mushrooms might really be toadstools, not to be eaten in the wild - and, our spun cotton version should not be eaten either! For all of SilverCrow's ephemera fans, here's a unique item! This vintage label was meant to feature the name of the beer or wine in the blank space. Many wineries and brewers used the same labels for all the varieties of drink that they offered, and would imprint the final product name in the blank area. A recognizable label would ensure that the organization would be considered for not only one, but many of their products.

This might have something to do with the factory, or maybe it is a generic label. We cannot be sure. We can be sure that it will be fun to use for a special project - on the front of a journal or scrapbook. Or, maybe you even make your own wine or beer and want to create a special label.

Day of the Dead Pretty Angel
Inspired by one of our favorite customers, our Day of the Dead Mini Angels were originally going to be created as kits. Unfortunately, the manufacturer stopped making the tiny skeletons and we cannot find another supplier.
Our Pretty Dead Angel was hand made right here in the SilverCrow Atelier. She is spectacular and is ready to adorn your ofrenda, driftwood, an indoor plant or a bookshelf.
Every one of our Pretty Angels is the same, but slightly different as all are handmade. So, please let us choose one for you.
Each measures about 2 inches high and, if you're careful, you can pose your fairy. But, please, do so with care as their little plastic bones are not as supple as they once were! Their wingspans vary from 1-1/2 to 2-1/4 inches.

Day of the Dead Diorama - Seis Mariachis (6 Mariachis)
Mariachis and music lovers alike will be so taken by this large glass-front diorama featuring a full mariachi band. This wonderful glass front box features at least 6 musicians playing instruments or singing, or a little of both. Boxes approximately measure 13-1/2 inches wide by 6-3/4 inches tall and 2-3/8 inches deep.
All of our Day of the Dead figures and diorama boxes are made by traditional artisans and are hand sculpted and painted by traditional Mexican artisans. Each diorama is a bit different (and colors may vary) as they are all handmade! The positions and instruments of the musicians may differ, but each box is as wonderful as the next.

Embossed Die Cut Reproduction Scrap - Student
Although he appears quite diligent at his studies, he is really dreaming of play. Our large student die cut measures 6-1/2 inches high by 4-3/4 inches wide. The little motifs in the corners measure approximately 2-1/2 inches high by 1-1/2 inch wide.
Sterling Silver Plated Bird Clasp
How sweet these little birds are. Just flip down his tail feathers and the clasp opens! The loop under his feet is to connect to you necklace or bracelet.
This is especially nice when your design includes a clasp that hooks in the front of a necklace. Or, make it a surprise at the back of one. And certainly any bracelet would be delighted to be closed with such a clever clasp.
You'll have to provide a loop for the other side - you might even choose to make one of beads or another clever component.
It measures 3/4 inch from clasp to lower loop and 5/8 inch from beak to tail feathers.
Antiqued Silvery Coffee Cup Charm
This little coffee cup seems to be for cappuccino or another delight with frothy cream atop it! In stead of a hanging loop, you can use the handle to hang this little cup as a charm. Or you can just use it as a silvery miniature cup.
We were not as pleased with these as we thought we'd be when we received them. So, we are not going to reorder them when they are gone. But they're nice for an extra charm on a chunky bracelet - even better for assemblage and collage!
The charm measures 1/2 inch wide (as shown by 3/8 inch deep) by 3/8 inch high.

Fancy Raku Ceramic Skull Bead
Such unique skull beads as these are certainly nice enough for the Day of the Dead or Hallowe'en, or, even for every day for you skull fans! They are hand crafted and painted or glazed in Peru.
These are created with a raku finish. Raku firing of ceramics creates a gorgeous sheen or finish, but is somewhat unpredictable. That is the absolute beauty of the technique. We're showing you three raku ceramic skull beads so that you might see this variation for yourself. Because of the technique, each bead is different from the next so that you'll know you are enjoying your own unique piece of art!
The stringing hole runs from side to side and will accommodate a larger cord or ribbon, making this a perfect component for a pendant. Each bead measures approximately 13/16 inch wide by 1-1/8 inch high. The back of the bead lays flat.

Handmade Aged Copper Hinged Glass Shrine Frame Pendant
You might think of this as a house or a shrine - in either case, it will make a splendid pendant. We love the shape and the color of the metal even more!
Just add your own print, photograph, vintage paper, scraps, a tiny bit of lace, ..., you name it - and you'll have a very special necklace. This pendant is reversible, so you can really present two different images - one on each side!
Because each of these is handmade, there will be slight differences, making yours especially unique. Each measures 2 inches high (including the bail) or 1-3/4 inch high from bottom to point. It measures about 1-1/4 inch wide (when closed).

We think the older crystals seemed more brilliant - or perhaps that become that way as they age! We love these tiny vintage glass hearts. Each one measures 7mm by 7mm and they are about 3mm in profile. They are flat-backed with gold foil and the front is smooth rather than faceted.
