We love crepe paper - and not just for streamers. Make bows and flowers, cover nut cups, make ornaments. The possibilities are endless.
And, on top of that, this is VINTAGE crepe. The neon-like psychedelic colors give away the age as the late 1960s or early 1970s. This crepe roll was produced by the Dennison company, well known for their home arts papers and other supplies for decades. Dennison has since merged with Avery office products to become Avery Dennison. So new quality Dennison craft and art products are no longer available.
The roll features stripes in 3 colors, but some of them are quite subtle for a psychedelic experience!
Each roll measures 2 1/8 inch by 25 feet (636 square inches). Just imagine a sixties or seventies party with favors made from this crepe! It originally sold for 25¢ cents a roll and is in very good condition. The Dennison sticker remains on almost every roll, but is a little loose on some of the rolls we have in stock. There is some modest wear (from storage) on the outside of the roll, but that makes it even more appropriate for your vintage projects!

We love this wired garland not only because it is Christmas-y, but because the wire is brown - so that it looks like wood. So often, the wire is the same color as the greenery.
Each garland measures 15 feet and can be cut with wire cutters or scissors (be sure to use your older scissors - you don't want to ruin your good sewing scissors, that's for sure!)
Tufts are about 1/2 inch thick and are spaced approximately 1/2 inch apart.

Vintage Metallic Green Accent Flameproof Crepe Streamer by the Inch
This very special crepe streamer was created by the Dennison Company, the maker of so many wonderful crafting products beginning over a century ago. We found so very little of it, but thought it might be just what you need to create your old timey ornaments, candy cones and the like. So, we're offering this by the inch.
It is hard to imagine the original color of the streamer, although it appears to be a beige tone. There are two metallic green stripes running the length of the roll and the edges are scalloped, so you can imagine just how wonderful an ornament, badge or flower you might be able to fashion from it.
Each piece will be cut to order until it is gone.

What glorious vintage crepe paper - all original old stock, not used! This crepe roll was produced by the Coronet Company of New York City.
You'll be charmed by the fun alternating Black Cats and Jack-o'Lanterns - some of each are happy and some are sad - on every roll! The printing is wonderful and the paper is in fantastic shape. The only wear that we notice is the coloring. The original streamer was white. These streamers vary in background tone from a darker off white to tan (as you can see in the illustration).
This great streamer arrives with its original label, which indicates that these are 2-1/8 inches wide by 8 yards long!
These are old store stock - never used. They are from the 1960s but could certainly be mistaken for much older streamers. They are from a Northeast USA warehouse that was known for distributing to five and ten cent stores and Mom & Pop variety stores back in the 1960s.

St Lucy's Day Garland Frieze
Traditionally, Saint Lucy (or Santa Lucia) is the Patron Saint of Blindness and also the Patron of Holy Light. Her feast day (December 13) is traditionally celebrated throughout Scandinavia, the United States and southern Europe. Before the calendar was reformed in the 16th century to become the Gregorian calendar, St Lucy's Day fell closer to the winter solstice north of the equator.
Because St Lucy is the guardian or patron of light, it is believed that she will guard against Lucifer, the Prince of Darkness. Many people stay awake the entire night between December 12th and 13th to celebrate St Lucy and her guardianship. When the light arrives in the morning on the 13th, it is known that Saint Lucy protected the celebrants from the Devil and all is well and safe.
Youngsters have parties and traditionally, special sweets are offered. There might be a parade or procession headed by a single girl representing the dear saint. She will wear a crown of candles or lights and will be followed by girls and boys in the procession, each carrying a single candle or light.
This lovely garland or frieze was created by designer Kathy Lawrence and features a St Lucia Girl Paper Doll repeated in a garland. She wears the crown of candles and a pretty white dress. the garland opens up to nine feet.

Vintage Dennison Crepe Paper Streamer: Seasons Greetings
What glorious vintage crepe paper - all original old stock, not used~! This crepe roll was produced by the Dennison company, well known for their home arts papers and other supplies for decades. Dennison has since merged with Avery office products to become Avery Dennison. So new quality Dennison craft and art products are no longer available.
You'll be charmed by the pretty pink Seasons Greetings with a border and some holly and bells. We love the great pink color of the text, too! The streamers are flameproof (an important improvement that the Dennison Manufacturing Company (of Framingham, Massachusetts) made. This new, old stock (never used) streamer is the greatest for decorating or for you craft projects!
The rolls do not indicate the length, but we're guessing that the roll is 25-30 feet, as most of the streamers made were those approximate lengths.

This tiny multi-color rectangular papel picado is enchanting! Each sheet measures a diminutive 3-1/2 inches wide by 2 inches long. The 10 sheet strand measures 36 inches long.
Papel Picado is a traditional art form that is handmade by artisans from Mexico. The brightly colored tissue is hand cut using chisels and a top pattern as a guide. Tissue was actually developed in China and came to the New World through Europe. The Mexican people adopted the tissue for their paper cutting - they had been using hand made paper for the cuttings for generations. Now the thin tissue brings a whole new dimension to the art, allowing the breeze to create an even more festive mood with the lightweight paper!

We are so very delighted to offer this wondrous old golden garland! It was made in Germany in the early 20th century and is a sight to behold! The 1-inch wide tinsel is made of real metal and attached to a cotton string through the center. The string is wrapped with a very thin wire, which makes it easy to model the garland. This is wonderful for making vintage style holiday ornaments for for using on a feather tree.
Each garland measures over 6 feet long, and some are longer than others. These are pre-made to size and can be tied together if you buy more than one!
