Little Tin Pig Rider
More Little People
More Pigs
These tin lithographed motifs feature a pig with a rider. It's hard to tell if the rider is male or female, but does it really matter.
These are new motifs made in the fashion of vintage tin toys. They are painted on both sides, but only one side shows the detail. As you can see from the photograph, the pig and rider may be facing either way.
The motif measures about 2-1/4 inches wide by 2 inches high.
These would be fantastic as a part of a mixed media or altered art project.

Small Carved Bone Mama Pig Bead
More Beads
Created from bone and carved by hand, each of these cute little Mama Piggies is different from the next - but everyone is similar to the one shown. The detail is amazing as you can see!
The stringing hole runs from back through teats. Each bead measures approximately 5/8 inch tall by 15/16 inch wide and has a 1/4 inch profile. It's a nice substantial bead and would make a great centerpiece for a necklace. She will also stand on her own four feet so that you might use her in a shrine or other altered art project.
After the bead was carved, it was lightly antiqued to highlight the detail. She is reversible, too!

Art Postcard - Dancing Pigs
More Postcards
More Good Luck
Such a happy lot of pigs we might not find every day. In fact, this quintet of porkers is celebrating their good luck at being rediscovered. From a vintage post card celebrating St. Patrick's Day and the Luck o' the Irish, we find this reproduction postcard ever so charming.
There is no sentiment on the card, front or back, so why not just use it for cheering someone up or wishing another luck!?

Art Postcard - Was Gibt's? (What's Up?)
More of the Sea & Oceans
More Wine & Drinking
Many cultures see the pig as a harbinger of good luck. And, this fellow is lucky indeed! Sitting in his easy chair on the beach at sunset (of course, it just might be sunrise), he sips from a glass of red wine, evening out the day - and invites you to join him by asking,
Was Gibt's? What's Up?
This delightful card is from the playful mind and hand of artist Nele Andressen.

Embossed Die Cut Reproduction Scraps - Lucky Pigs and Chimney Sweeps
More Scraps, Dresdens & Die Cuts
These fantastic scraps are a reproduction, but they could certainly fool you! The design is based on a vintage scrap sheet, but is produced today in Germany in much the same way that scrap pictures were produced so many years ago.
Pigs and chimney sweeps are both considered lucky omens throughout literature, folk tales and generations of good wishes. This sheet features both at once! How much more good luck could you wish for!
The scrap relief sheet is approximately 9 inches by 7 inches, ready for you to clip and use in your artwork. And each sheet is lightly embossed to accent the images.

Art Postcard - Hufeisenregen (Raining Horseshoes)
More Horses
This must be one lucky piggy! S/he and a buddy in a suit are watching the good luck horseshoes rain down outside. S/he's lucky for more than one reason, that's for sure - not only are so many horseshoes so much good luck, but they're inside - we imagine those horseshoes just might clunk someone on the head!
From the imaginative mind of artist Gerhard Glück, this delightful card will surely touch the heart of all pig lovers and those who need a bit of good luck!

Hand Glittered Note Card - Two Pigs & a Jester on Christmas
More Christmas
More Note Cards
We are absolutely delighted to present yet another terrific Barbara Schriber Designs note card. It seems only natural that we'd offer such delightful images that are hand glittered with German glass glitter!
Who doesn't love little piggies on Christmas (well, we guess there might be someone)! So, here's a sweet little card with a little jester (we're not quite sure if our jester is a little boy or little girl). Her pet piggies are pulling her on a sled past a snow-laden pine tree. The card reads, simply:
Merry Xmas
The glitter accents are in just the perfect spots to highlight the image! Best of all, once the glitter is exposed to air, it may tarnish, which adds to the vintage feel! Of course, each card is accompanied by a matching envelope.
Because this card is accented with glass glitter, please use care when handling the cards, and of course, such products adorned with glass glitter are not suitable for children.

Art Postcard - Wucherndes Glück (Proliferating Luck)
There are lots of lucky pigs in the imaginative mind of artist Gerhard Glück and this delightful postcard will surely touch the heart of all pig lovers and those who need a bit of good luck! Pig napping along side his friend in a suit, he is enjoying the refreshing luck that comes with 4-leaf clovers - and these two gentlefolk have a terracotta potful of luck!

Hand Glittered Note Card - 3 (NOT SO) Little Pigs
Aren't these little (?) piggies just the cutest? With their glittery and flowery head-dresses? Just what are they talking about? We don't care. The original image appears to have been from a vintage postcard, but the writing is light, so we can't really interpret it. This gives these three little honeys and their card a bit of a collage-style ambience!

tiny Hand-Made Chanchito Lucky 3-Leg Pig Bead or Charm
More Charms
In the small village of Pomaire, Chile, it is believed that Chanchitos, little pigs, bring good luck. Three-legged Chanchitos, like this little bead or charm, are especially fortunate and are traditionally given to friends and family as a token of goodwill and love.
You can use this little piggy in so very many ways. He stands nicely all by himself, so you can sit him down on a table or with your miniatures. The little loop of his curly tail can be used as a bead-stringing hole, or as a loop for a charm. These little fellows are teeny-weeny, barely measuring 1.5 cm (about 5/8 inch).
No two are exactly the same, so please let us choose one for you. Three chanchitos shown for illustration only.

Art Postcard - Schweinebacke (Pig's Kiss on the Cheek)
What a nice evening for these. Celebrating with a glass of champagne, the gentleman and his friend the pig are watching the evening. It appears that the pig has just given her friend a kiss on the cheek.
This image was created by artist Gerhard Glück, famed for his pictures of animals and their humans.

More Journeys & Travel
Now where in the world is this fellow going? Right down the middle of the street, he runs. Or, is he sauntering? We'll never know, but we can certainly make up a story about it! Artists/Photographers Walter Sittig and Voller Ernst are responsible for this charming and funny image.
You might choose to send this sweet card to anyone beginning a journey - of any sort!

Vintage Embossed Die Cut Chromolithograph Scraps - Animal Wannabes
From the mid-20th century, super cute scraps feature animals in professions and activities normally reserved for their human friends. There are bears, birds, monkeys and more bowling, juggling, delivering the mail and playing the banjo. Artists, musicians and waiters and more, offer their more humorous side for inclusion in your artworks. We're not sure whether we wannabe the animals or if they wannabe human.
As with many of the scraps and die cuts made in the 20th century, these are children in adult situations. The advent of space exploration in the 1950s and 1960s, led to many products such as these. Rather than intricately die cut motifs, these are nicely expressed vignettes that are die cut into shapes - probably meant for découpage. We're particularly attracted to the colors in this production - there is a special tone that makes the scraps seem older than they even really are!
The scrap relief sheet is approximately 9 inches by 7 inches, ready for you to clip and use in your artwork. And each sheet is lightly embossed to accent. The shapes make these perfect for accenting boxes, pencil cups or other such items.

Barbed Wire Animal
More Hogs & Pigs
Made from barbed wire that actually endangered animals around the world, our barbed wire animal is stylish and unique. Each is handmade by traditional wire artists. This makes a great reminder that we share the planet with all living beings and we must all protect each other.
A major portion of the proceeds for this wonderful sculpture supports world animal rights organizations. We're not quite sure which animal this represents, but all are alike, with expected variation due to the nature of hand-made art.
It measures 6 inches from nose to tail 2 inches wide by 5 inches high (at the tail).
