The Day of the Dead figure inside the nicho is hand-sculpted and painted as are the eggs and basket. We love the fried eggs (can you read even more into this?). There is even a real little basket! The nicho itself is hand made tin, and then it is hand painted with brightly-colored details.

We think this perfect for, of course, anyone needing this advice. But, you might also consider it for a housewarming gift, or for a host/ess who loves to cook (especially eggs)!

These vary slightly as all are handmade and painted. There are some other variations as well, each is more wonderful than the next! It measures about 8 inches wide by 8 inches tall.

So many children in the 1950s and 1960s loved to make believe that they were in the Wild American West! And someone pushy always wanted to be sheriff. Now here's a novelty sheriff's badge from way back then. With a 5-pointed star with round dots at each point, this fun badge will be lots of fun for someone who needs to remember being little way back when!

The odd art of this, however is the image in the middle. There are two lovely full-figured ladies in hula skirts on either side of a unicorn! I guess these really were from the land of make-believe!

These pins are from the 1950s and 1960s and were meant for sale in 5 and 10 cent stores such as Murphy's, Ben Franklin and Woolworths. We love them for embellishment and just for the memories (of the future)! They measure 1-1/2 inch in diameter and make a swell gift package decoration, too!

Smokey Bear has long been popular as the only bear who prevents forest fires. His message rings loud and clear throughout North America.

This great little fold-over metal pin features the bear himself in yellow brown and red. It was made by the Green Duck Company in Chicago, Illinois in the 1950s. This is unused old store stock but some of the pins show a touch of wear due to handling and the original packaging with them all touching.

The entire pin measures 2 inches high by 1 inch wide. When you fold the tab down in the back, it hooks into the fabric of your lapel (or other clothing) and the resulting image that is shown measures 1 inch wide by 1-3/8 inch long.
