Unbelievably, this sealing wax does not crack, chip or break - even when mailed on a postcard! The illustration background includes 2 seals that were actually sent via the United States Postal Service on postcards - fully exposed to everything the transport has to offer. The one on the left features J. Herbin's supple wax, whereas the other seal was made with regular sealing wax.

Supple wax can be cut, so it is often used on bottles. Letters and cards with supple wax seals can be sent through the mail if the letter is hand-canceled. (Although the seal might make it through the cancelling machine, it might damage the machine itself.)

Each stick measures 3-3/8 inches long by 3/8 inch thick and 3/8 inch wide. Depending on your use, each stick produces 15 to 20 seals!

You'll be surprised how closely this resembles traditional wax. Made by J.Herbin for over 300 years, sealing wax is still as exciting as it was when used officially. Supple wax is much the same, but designed for modern times.

To use supple wax, heat the end with a match or a propane torch lighter (as for your grill). The lighter is lots easier to use! Be sure to do this heating over the your project paper in the right spot, because you won't be able to move it later. Once you've melted a bit of the wax (in a puddle). Once you think you have enough wax dropped, use the stick itself to stir the puddle into the shape you desire (probably the shape of your seal).

Although not necessary with supple wax, we've found it best to moisten you sealing wax seal before actually making your mark. You can do this by blowing on the seal itself, by an ice cube, etc. Impress your seal into the wax after it has cooled a bit. Hold it still for about 5 seconds, and then peel your seal slowly away from the wax. You'll need a bit of practice to create a crisp seal that pleases you. Supple wax melts at a hotter temperature than traditional wax, so it cools more slowly as well.

Use with caution. Never leave burning or hot wax unattended. Not for children.

Sealing Wax Seal Impressions & Other Stamps

J.Herbin King's Sealing wax is made from natural elements: pine resin, ground limestone, lacquer, and a cochineal dye for vibrant and deep color.

This same wax has been used by royalty to seal the most important of documents for centuries. Generations of remarkable people, from Louis XIV to Coco Chanel, have used this such sealing wax, and it is well known around the world as one of the highest quality sealing waxes ever made.

M. Herbin was a sailor, and from his many journeys to India he brought back to Paris formulas for manufacturing sealing wax. His special lacquer formula improved the quality of the seals in adhesion and neatness, helping him to become famous throughout the kingdom.

Then as today, sealing wax was used for documents and correspondence, but also in decoration and bottling. J. Herbin has supplied Chanel from its beginning with wax used for finishing touches on their perfume bottles.

Each stick measures 5 inches long by 3/8 inch thick and 1/2 inch wide. Depending on your use, each stick produces 10 to 20 seals!

Made by J.Herbin for over 300 years, sealing wax is still as exciting as it was when used officially.

Unbelievably, this sealing wax does not crack, chip or break - even when mailed on a postcard! The illustration background includes an actual seal that was sent via the United States Postal Service on a postcard - fully exposed to everything the transport has to offer.

The sample behind the stick in the illustration features the same burgundy wax that has been pressed with a sealing wax seal and it actually travelled through the US Mail from San Francisco to New York! This deep red shade of was reminds us of the waxes used for hundreds of years on official documents, love letters and the like. It is very close to the color of those original waxes, but it is fully prepared for the modern world!

Supple wax can be cut, so it is often used on bottles. Letters and cards with supple wax seals can be sent through the mail if the letter is hand-canceled. (Although the seal might make it through the cancelling machine, it might damage the machine itself.)

Forget ribbon, just add this stunner of a tape to your package and you'll have all of your cat-loving friends meowing for more! After all, why must adhesive tape be boring?

The utterly fashionable wide-eyed black kitty face is pictured on 82 feet of 1-7/8 inch wide bright pink tape and comes on a handy plastic dispenser. Lots more fun for the folks at the Post Office than those boring brown and clear tapes they usually see!

We have this taped to just about every table in our work area. We absolutely love this stuff!

We're not really sure how many rulers are on this roll - but we're sure it's a lot! We can't say enough about this great roll of tape. We think it is perfect for showing measurements in your evidence photos and delightful on any scrapbook page where measurements are indicated or relating to grade school!

But you might want to also consider it for decoration. But we think our best use so far is in measuring children for costumes - how hard it is to have them hold the measuring tape while you record the measurements! It's also a great teaching tool.

This is real tape with adhesive on the back. Wouldn't this make the perfect addition to the wrapping for a first day of school gift? We're not sure if the adhesive is acid free or not, so be careful with your treasures.
