Black Cat's Fantasy

Close-Up

Cate Amador: Black Cat Fantasy

Here is my first entry. It's actually a work in progress and may become a necklace if I can fire out how, or may end up being a shrine in a shrine. Either way, I thought it could stand on it's own as well. This is meant to be the fantasy of a black cat in a shelter.

Third Prize

Miff Trevor: Magnolia (Super-Model)

Magnolia is my entry for your Secret Life of Animals competition. I made her to model my jewelry but after a few failed attempts at making her head in proportion to her 'décolletage' I realised I could make her to take after my SilverCrow crow finger puppet (one of my favourite SilverCrow purchases!). So here is my Magnolia model with her little big sister!

When she's not modeling for Miff's Strange Bird - Made By Miff jewelry, Magnolia likes to store all my SilverCrow jewelry purchases!

SilverCrow Products: Fly Lightly Little Necklace, Silver Bird Necklace, Moonlit Tree Necklace (sold out), Crow Finger Puppet

Non-SC products were feathers & Mardi Gras beads.

Cate Amador: Black Cat Advertising Campaign: Think Black

Second entry "Think Black". More black cat fantasies, this time advertising to change their image, sort of "Mad Cats". I don't have a picture of the back, but I have used a black cat Dresden there. Annie- I'll get better pictures for your use later but I didn't want to be too late.

We have 50+year-old redwoods (sequoia) around our quarter-acre section. I've taken some of their cones and painted them with Resene metallic blue paint (test pots are fab idea!). The tag background was an exploration into shaving cream colouring (such fun). So what do the birds really get up to while we are at work? They have their own bird-table where they tweet, twitter and facebook whilst eating our chocolate stash, and peck the seeds out of the pinecones. They've also demolished part of a dead fairy by the looks of it. They must be girlie birds with their pink utee stomachs and rhinestone crop. Their wee charms came from Articus (I bent the loops back and put into the utee before it hardened), but you provided the chocolate charms to feed them on their way out to NZ, along with the ziggyzaggy paper (redwood "pine needles"?), and the dead fairy wing. The whole thing hangs like a bird feeder. The glitzy "Imagine" behind them also came from you - half-hidden because this IS supposed to be their secret life.

SilverCrow Products: Imagine (Bonus), Teensy Bird Shrine Kits, Wing from our Dead Fairy Kit, Half-Eaten Chocolate Bar Charm, Zig Zag Paper (Packaging Material)
