Schrödinger's Cat Finger Puppet Magnet
More Cats
More Magnets
More Art Dolls
Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger proposed this thought experiment to demonstrate the apparent conflict between what quantum theory predicts on the microscopic level and what we observe on the macroscopic level: A cat is shut in a box with a 'diabolical device' that kills it or not, depending on whether a radioactive substance emits a particle in a given time triggering the device. After that time that cat is alive or dead. Therefore, the cat is both alive and dead simultaneously - a superposition of states.
It's important to know that this was a thought experiment and that it was never really performed - at least by Schrodinger and his colleagues, Einstein, Podlosky and Rosen.
Whether or not the quantum question appeals to you, this little kitty puppet with his tongue hanging out, might just be the fun experiment you need for an evening!

Goodbye Kitty Magnet Set (Please forgive us!)
More Cats & Kitties
We were talked into buying these magnets several years ago by an over-anxious sales rep. And, we just can't believe that we succumbed! We love kitties and would NEVER, EVER consider any of these techniques for kitties, cats or anyone else.
But, these magnets are laughable - to some folks that is! Someone recently asked where they could find these, so we thought we should finally just say, Ok, so here they are!
This heavy duty set of magnets is sure to get house guests laughing - or crying! The Goodbye Kitty Magnet Set is a set of 5 magnets illustrating five different tragic ways a cartoon kitty can die in the house.
Maybe we can use these as a safety reminder!

This is not a new tool, but it is certainly a useful one. We're always loosing little metal things, and this so very useful tool can reach in very small spaces and get the little items out. If only magnets worked on plastic (oh, well, that's another tool).
There's a little clip for you to wear it in your pocket or, indeed, in your pocket protector. It's the size of a slim pen. But, it's beauty is it's telescoping ability - to a full 18 inches.

Andy Warhol Finger Puppet (aka Magnet)
More Puppets and Art Dolls
More Andy
Born on August 6, 1928, Andy Warhol died on February 22, 1987. Pop artist, filmmaker, writer, socialite and entrepreneur, Warhol's paintings of Campbell Soup cans and celebrities are some of the most famous images of the 1960s. Critics were scandalized by Warhol's open embrace of market culture, but Warhol didn't care, gladly attracting the limelight. In fact, some critics believe that if it were not for his visibility as a celebrity magnet, his artwork would not be as famous. We don't care - we love it either way!
Well, the great Pop Artist himself is now a finger puppet! We LOVE the shiny red jacket that matches his red glasses! He would be so proud. On your finger, he's a puppet; on your fridge, he's a magnet! Why not keep him on your workbench or table as inspiration - what a muse he might make!

Diego Rivera & Frida Kahlo Finger Puppet Set (aka Magnets)
More Frida
The passionate, yet tumultuous marriage between Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera is legendary. Theirs was one of the most famous alliances between artists. His straying eye led Frida to take many lovers, male and female, including revolutionary Leon Trotsky.
Diego Rivera was among the greatest of the Mexican muralists that flourished after the country's revolution. Influenced by Cubism as well as pre-Columbian wall paintings, Rivera's works are characterized by his fervent belief in Marxism.
A Mexican painter deeply influenced by indigenous culture, Frida Kahlo suffered a series of physical traumas. She contracted polio at age 6, and at 19 sustained injuries in a bus accident from which she was plagued by extreme pain for the rest of her life. Drawing on her personal life, Kahlo's work is characterized by its stark portrayal of pain
Now you can create your own tumult on your fridge with these two great little magnets. Release your inner ethno-surrealist with Frida and paint a tiny leftist mural with Diego. Or, just enjoy knowing that they are together again, right in your own home!

Magnet - King Tut (TUTANKHAMEN)
More Egyptian & African Items
The boy king of Egypt, Tutankhamen, from the Golden Age of Pharaohs, is thought to have been born in 1341 BC and to have died circa 1323 BC, although neither date is exactly confirmed. When his tomb was discovered with all of its riches in 1922 by famed archaeologist Howard Carter, Tutankhamen became quite famous and has come to represent ancient Egypt. Despite his death at a young age, he ruled Egypt for at least 9 years!
We were delighted to have found this magnet, as it's color vibrancy is amazing for such a common item as a magnet. King Tut's eminence is beautifully portrayed and can become a part of your décor.
