SilverCrow Creations Walnut Drawing Stick Demo - Sold Out

Here is the new drawing tool that you may have always wanted, but didn't know that you did! For pen & ink wash drawings - you'll have a pen and a brush in one. The fine chiseled nib of the pen is carved of bamboo - its hand dipped ink reservoir will supply about a 36-inch line of ink. And the felt brush on the other end is shaped for a variety of stroke widths. So, without changing tools, you can achieve the fluidity of a wash, the boldness of an expressive mark or the calligraphic crispness of a drawing pen.
The Walnut® Drawing Stick was designed by Tom Norton, the developer of Walnut® Ink: "Since my earliest years of drawing, frustrated by having to constantly change tools in mid-thought, I learned to tape a steel pen nib to the other end of the best watercolor brush I could afford at the time. It's an old technique-artists have been doing it for years-but, it's an expensive one. The Walnut® Drawing Stick is a contemporary solution at an affordable price."
It is not necessary to press down on the pen nib for the ink to flow. Excess pressure on the pen nib may cause breakage. Use about the same pressure as you would with a pencil. If used with Walnut® Drawing Ink, the ink may be left in the pen or brush after use, as in the next usage water will completely dissolve the dried ink. If used, however, with other ink besides Walnut® Drawing Ink, it may be necessary to wash the Drawing Stick after each use.
