Originally issued back in the late 1940s or 1950s for 10¢ a package, these authentically old gummed stickers are fully intact.
These new old stock packages have never been opened, so all the stickers should still be inside. The packages feature old clear plastic windows and some have shrunk a bit over the years. But this doesn't seem to have affected the seals in any manner. The package reads on the front:
12 Superfine Christmas Seals 10¢Dennison DESIGNED U.S.A.
There is a tear tag at the top, protecting the stickers when opening them.
We have not opened the packages, but it appears that all of the seals are the same: a family (Dad, Mom, brother and sister) of Christmas carolers singing by a oil street lamp. Their music book reads: Merry Christmas.
Due to their age, we suggest you test the gummed seals before wetting them - or, to be safe, use an additional adhesive of your own. We use a damp sponge to moisten our vintage stickers, thinking it better not to lick them.
These are a very special find, and we think you'll really enjoy them.
