This wonderful heavy-weight silver Dresden base is just what you need to create old-fashioned paper ornaments especially for Christmas, but also for any other occasion. Add a little scrap picture with a dab of glue to the center (or even a Victorian-style sticker), maybe a few pieces of angel hair or krausbouillion and you'll create a brand new heirloom!
The base of the ornament measures about 3-1/4 inches in diameter (from one point to the opposite). The loop on top is for hanging and adds about 1/4 inch more. This striking Dresden is metallic silver on both sides and is weighty enough to be the base for a complex design.
The embossing on these reliefs is superb. These are made in the same fashion as they have been for many, many decades! Some trimming is necessary, just as it was for the originals.
