This interesting little dish is covered with paper pilchards (sardine) can wrappers. - The sardines were substandard - not the platter !!!

Each dish is created for the Wola Nani Embrace, a South African trade organization that creates useful and attractive household items from recycled materials. Their sales support AIDS research and treatment.
Our little dish is shaped like a flower and measures 8-3/8 inches in diameter. There is a bit of turn to it so that there is about a 1/8 inch depth in each of the petals.
Each bowl is different, not only because it is handmade, but, because the papers are découpaged slightly differently each time.
