A very good friend from Ojinaga, Mexico, created this wonderful frame for us so many years ago. Sadly, he left this world for another (as he used to say). I miss him so.

The deep red brick wooden frame is accented in metallic gold.

The wood is from recycled Mexican fruit crates (rejas) and occasionally, of new wood. The concha (curved part on top) features a small calaca - a Day of the Dead skull. Each skull is hand formed of dental plaster accented in black.

The back of the frame is unfinished and rough. It will be best to glue your piece to the frame from the back. **

What a wonderful doorway to a large ofrenda, shrine or mixed media piece.

All measurements are approximate and each frame is unique because the frames are handmade. So, yours will be one-of-a-kind.
