Just like the Rouge Hematite version, this Stormy Grey ink was created to help celebrate the 340th Anniversary of J. Herbin. It is a deep coal grey with flecks of gold throughout it. It is said that J. Herbin created this color based on memories of the dark and wild oceans of his many voyages. The fine gold flecks are meant to represent bolts of lightning across the open water.
This intense and deep dye ink will bring a rich and sublime feel to all your writing. This ink is perfect for fountain pens and most other writing instruments. You might also use it as a wash in painting.
The gold flecks tend to settle at the bottom of the bottle, so please shake before use. The amount of shine from the gold can also be dependent on the paper you choose to use with this ink.
This 50ml glass bottle is exquisitely presented in a gift box and features a special black hot stamping - 1670 - the first year of production.
J. Herbin is the oldest name in ink production in the world. J. Herbin was established in 1670, when Louis XIV, the Sun King, was 32 years old.
