Kumihimo Braiding Board Kit

Kumihimo is a Japanese braiding technique that has allowed artisans to produce both functional and decorative braids for decades. The traditional tool for creating kumihimo braids is the Madurai - usually hand made of wood. The most common braids use sets of 8, 16 or 32 strands, each strand usually comprising several threads. Finished braids can be used for jewelry, belts or ties.
