Each of our vintage spools found itself discarded from a weaving factory. These are quite old as the new ones are plastic, composition or all metal. Group several of them together for an elegant, but simple display.
Or, use them in your artwork or craft. They are wonderful for storing hand-spun yarn or silken ribbons. Use one for the spine of a hand-made or altered book.
Spools measure about 8 inches high. The diameter at the widest point is about 1 inch. No two are the same. Most have several rings of metal around the larger end.
