Nap Raiser (Bunka Brush) with Instructions

This little brush is made of slim, fine, soft metal tines that are bent at an angle on a stiff leather thimble of sorts.

The original was created in the 1790s to change the nature of woven materials, threads and yarns. It serves the same purpose today. Use it to brush out yarn to create a fuzzy effect (like yarn for Santa's beard).

Or, use it to create a fuzzy effect in stitches already sewn in your embroidery (any type) - simply brush gently over the stitched area.
