A corpus is the body of Christ part of a crucifix, if he were to be attached on a cross. This piece allows you to create your own crucifix of wood, polymer or any other medium you choose.

The front of the component is the same as any crucifix. The back features round, flat spots behind the hands and feet of Jesus - to aid in attaching the corpus, or body, to the cross.

Made of oxidized silver, you'll be able to create a modern or vintage look crucifix.

In researching this new corpus, we found that a general rule is for the corpus to be about 1/2 the size of the cross. However, we feel that you should create your art as you see fit, not necessarily following the rules.

In addition to the corpus, this set includes a sign ready to attach to the cross with the corpus that reads INRI, an abbreviation of the Latin phrase:
 
Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum
(Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews)

Every one of these corpora sets (plural of corpus) has been die cast in metal with beautiful, fine details.
