This wonderful heavy-weight golden Dresden base is just what you need to create old-fashioned paper ornaments for Christmas, Valentine's Day and more. Add a little scrap picture with a dab of glue to the center (or even a Victorian-style sticker), maybe a few pieces of angel hair or krausbouillion and you'll create a brand new heirloom!
The base of the ornament measures about 3-1/4 inches in diameter (from one point to the opposite). The loop on top is for hanging and adds about 1/4 inch more. This lovely Dresden is golden on both sides and is weighty enough to be the base for a complex design.
The embossing on these reliefs is superb, as is the cutting. These are made in the same fashion as they have been for many, many decades!
