Kananginak Pootoogook has been involved with drawing and printmaking since the late 1950s. Since that time, Pootoogook’s work has been included in many major Inuit Art collections. He was a stone cut printmaker himself, often proofing and editioning his own art.
He is an Inuk native of the Canadian province of Nunavut, located far north, very close to Greenland. This image is entitled Raven's Dance, a stonecut and stencil originally 26 by 24-7/16 inches. The original print was made by Qiatsuq Niviaqsi.
