Our binding thread is exactly what you'd use to make traditional straw stars - and on a winder, making the thread easier to dispense.
Metallic thread is often used, but the original stars were made with red thread like these
The thread is just enough for one or two stars (or more - depending on the star pattern you use) - 20 meters. You can reuse the winder and needle, too.
Of course there are many reasons to use red thread. From sewing to fly tying to embroidery to making holiday ornaments. We're offering it to you for all of those reasons.
We offer 2 colors, the cording is a bit different. Please look at the photos for more detail.
However, we've been asked to carry the thread used to bind traditional straw ornaments. We also offer full spools of red thread.
