Of course there are many reasons to use metallic thread. The original purpose of this sparkly metallic thread is for straw star construction.
This thread is much more sparkly in person that it is in the photos.
We've found that it is also wonderful for fly tying, sewing, embroidery, passementerie**, and for making holiday ornaments - ore whatever else you can imagine.
We're offering it to you for all of those reasons.
However, we've been asked to carry the thread used to bind traditional straw ornaments.
