Saint Hubert was passionate for protecting animals, so he has been considered a Patron Saint of Animal Welfare.
He became the Patron Saint of ethical hunting after seeing a crucifix between a stag's antlers. As you can see, this splendid medal shows him with a dog and a deer because of his patronage.
This medal is made of modern pewter (silvery metal).
