St Patrick Holy Cards - Package of 5

Many saints have their days of patronage, but March 17 is probably one of the best known and most celebrated - for Saint Patrick. Born around 387 in Scotland, he was captured and sent as a slave to Ireland. He became devout and converted much of Ireland. During the Middle Ages, Ireland was known as the Land of the Saints, mainly due to the teachings of Saint Patrick.

He is patron of the Irish, Ireland, New York and those who suffer from ophidiophobia - the fear of snakes. The prayer card depicts him with snakes in his typically green vestments.

Each set includes five standard-sized prayer cards, all the same. On the back of each card is an Irish blessing:

May the road rise up
to meet you.
May the wind always be at
your back.
May the sun shine warm
upon your face,
the rains fall soft upon
your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His Hand.
