These were the official numbers used in United States Post Office Boxes back when the doors to the boxes were much more old fashioned than today. Some of the boxes used stickers for the numbers. Others had their numbers painted on the glass. Still others had a sliding frame that held these strip numbers. The doors are all completely different today, so these are few and far between.
Each strip contains 10 consecutive numbers - white numbers on black card stock. The strips are perforated between the numbers. Each number strip measures 2-5/16 inches wide by 8-1/2 inches long, making each number 2-5/16 inches wide by 13/16 inch long.
