This ancient Byzantine style image of the Birth of Jesus is quite breathtaking.

Rather than a stable, Mary and Jesus are shown brightly lit within a dark cave inside a mountain. The darkness, representing the world, full of sin; the light, representing the Birth of the Savior.

Surrounding the image of Mother and Child, the images are there to tell the story of the birth. From Jesus being bathed by a pair of midwives, to Joseph listening to the Tempter and the three Magi. The star of Bethlehem shines above the mountain with a beam directly falling on baby Jesus.

Done in an icon-style, these beautiful cards are printed upon a cream colored paper. The cards measure 5 inches high by 3 inches wide.

The back is blank except for a faint colophon at the bottom, leaving plenty of room for custom imprinting with your own message, or a place to write a note to a friend or loved one.
