It's old store stock, never used, from around 1910. Never used. In great condition.
During the late 19th and the early 20th century, gentlemens' white collars were starched stiffly for a very formal look. The starch often chafed the back of their necks. So, collar chafing wax was created to help. Many men had such in their haberdashery.
This great little box - pretty nifty all by itself, is an original - with the original wax fully intact inside. Glattolin, Glettoline, Glittolin, Glattolina - the name is listed in 4 languages on the sides of the box because it was a popular product worldwide. Translating loosely, "glattolin" is "smooth linen."
