What an odd prize this would have made! Imagine winning a carnival game and getting a miniature chamber pot. Well, maybe this was the booby prize instead...
We found these chamber pots at an estate sale of a carnival game prize collector. They were in a box that was marked Occupied Japan on the outside. This would date them to between 1947-1952.
The pots are hand-painted (or hand-stamped) with either Ladies or Gent's. The lower back of the pot is stamped with Japan. As can be seen in the picture of the "Gent's" chamber pot, the paint has begun to fade on some of pots to varying degrees and is not in a straight line across the pot. So please, let us choose one for you.
They measure about 3/4 inch high and 1 inch across.
We have seen these priced much higher on other sites, but we want to pass on our savings on these pots to you.
This listing is for one pot, your choice of either Ladies or Gent's.
