Huckleberry Hound was a favorite of ours in the 1950s. Created by Hanna-Barbera, Huckleberry spoke with a southern drawl and was always quite laid back. One wonders if Blue of Blue's Clues was modeled a bit after the older blue dog gentleman!
Our little golden pin hails from the 1950s and was meant for sale in 5 and 10 cent stores such as Murphy's, Ben Franklin and Woolworths. This particular pin is quite collectible and we've seen it for a much, much higher and very hard to find.
We found these in an old warehouse in Brooklyn that has since burned down. They are novelty pins and are not expected to last forever.
Each is marked Hong Kong on the pin.
We're showing 2 pins so that you might see the front and the back.
