We love Hallowe'en and especially love vintage Hallowe'en items! This little 6-1/4 by 4 inch bag hails from the 1960s. We're not sure, but the little guy on the front right sure looks like a crow (dressed up for Hallowe'en, of course! Old paper Hallowe'en treat bags (there's no trick here!) have recently come into their own as a collectible, and for good reason: they look great framed, they are still inexpensive, and there are hundreds of different types to collect.
This spooky one is from old store stock and was produced by Topstone Industries, Inc of Danbury, Connecticut. It features an orange full moon and spooky tree hovering over a haunted graveyard. There are some little characters (are they goblins?) running through. Even the back features a continuation of the illustration and a lonely little black cat sneaking out of the graveyard!
