Bordered by an diamond design. On the front bottom, someone has written in pencil:
Arthur Dawes Sparrow
It may or may not be a souvenir made at Sparrow Lake in Ontario, Canada. We think it might have been a private lake that the family called, "Sparrow Lake."
Several pages inside indicate that this was made (or at least, used) in 1925. On one page bottom, there is an address and old-time telephone number with an HAV exchange.
There is some natural cracking on the back cover, but all of the pages are intact, sewn in and none is loose. Of the ten leaves (20 pages), 5 have writing, mostly in pencil. The balance is blank, never having been used.
This sweet journal measures 4-5/8 inches high by 3-3/4 inches wide when closed.
