Wire-stemmed cabochons are great for making jewelry, but they are even better for making hair accessories. The wire makes it easy to attach these pretty flowers to hairpins, bobbies, barrettes and bobby pins.

We expect that these were made back around the mid-20th century. They were created by artisans from Jablonec (Gablonz) in the Bohemian mountains. Each flower is a bit different as these were molded, but hand painted. They measure about 5/8 in diameter.
