Leapin' lizards! Were we ever excited to find these wonderful old Little Orphan Annie pins. We think they are made of celluloid or bakelite. Though not advertised as such, we've performed the standard tests and expect that they are.
Each measure 1-1/2 inch from her chin to the top of her curly hair and 1-1/4 inch wide. When we discovered these they were all attached to canvas, so we left them on the material for you.
The back of the pin is glued on. So, we're not really sure if this motif was originally meant to be a pin or not. We suspect these to hail from sometime mid 20th century or earlier.
Because you're never fully dressed without a smile, if you're in a bad mood, just put this pin on and let Annie smile for you...we're sure that will engender many a smile from those you meet.
