Complete with an eagle atop the pin, some fleur-di-lis, stars and suns and a center featuring what appears to be two women and a horse, this fun vintage police badge reads,

SPECIAL POLICE

Created as a novelty during the mid-20th Century, these were discovered unused in their original box at an old-time novelty company in Brooklyn, NY. The silver metal has been oxidized or painted to appear aged and more real. The back is bright silver.

Each one measures 1-1/2 inch high by 1-1/8 inch wide. Please expect some variation as would be found in any novelty item. These were originally intended to be sold in 5 and 10 cent stores for children.

Because of their age and condition, these should be used as adult collectible pins only and not as toys for children.
