Old World Hand Sewn Metallic Note Cards

Blue Angel:

* Anneliese learned to make everything as a youngster. She was born in Lubeck, Germany in 1929. She and her siblings were taught to make their own Christmas gifts. She continues that tradition by making stars and these gorgeous cards. She even sewed her own wedding gown - when she married her best friend. Her artistic repertoire includes traditional straw stars (her favorite), clothing, jewelry, all-occasion cards, candle holders - and it goes on from there.

She studied at the Bavarian State Conservatory of Music. An American teacher sponsored her move to the United States in 1955 where she continued her studies, completed her college education, earning a bachelor's degree and immediately enrolled in a master's program.

Anneliese has taught choir and music in North Carolina, South Carolina, Manhattan and elsewhere.

We are blessed to know such a wonderful woman, so full of life and so many stories. I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our conversations. More to come, for sure.
