This striking full-color 3d Stereo Viewer Card is a reproduction of Salvador Dalí's Persistence of Memory.

Working in much the same way as the Currier & Ives stereoviews of the past, the card operates on the venerable principle of the stereopticon.

This steroviewer has a nearly identical image for each lens (right and left) - and of course, there is a cut-out for your nose. You can even adjust the focus - just squeeze the folded-out card. (No 3D glasses are necessary - this is a different process altogether!)

There's a space for a short message and the whole card folds flat for mailing in the envelope provided. Perfect for the occasion when a gift is too much and a card too little!

"I am not strange. I am just not normal."  -- Per Dalí -- True of us all?

Spanish artist Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) is best known for his bizarre surrealist paintings.

This image, Persistence of Memory, is perhaps his most famous. First exhibited in Paris in 1931, it was an "overnight" sensation, when it was first exhibited in New York the following year. Interestingly enough, he claimed that his "soft watches" were inspired by the remains of "very strong Camembert cheese." He is well known for combining reality with the bizarre and being out of sync. There are so many interpretations of this fantastic painting - and so much to see. It is the perfect image for stereo view.
