What a unique collectible! Vintage for sure! 

This was a real fire hose coupling - made to fit one length of hose to another. A clever artisan added a brass cigarette holder and a steel bottom. Red felt has been added to the bottom to protect your table.

The signed inscription is "Donora Fire Dept." and "Clyde E Jericho." It was made here in Donora, Pennsylvania of a real coupling.

Donora Fire Company is all volunteer. It was a gift from a firefighter to a firefighter back in the late 1950s - early 1960s.

The coupling's use has changed to from one kind of a fire to another! The ashtray is heavy and substantial and heavy brass - as the coupling needed to be for connecting the hoses.
