An FDC envelope for the 1998 Cinco de Mayo First Day Cover - first being issued on April 16, 1998 in San Antonio, Texas.

FDCs are offered as specially cancelled stamps on the first day that they were issued by the USPS. The envelopes feature black & white illustrations of the Gospel Singers on the stamps.

The stamp alone, or with the envelope, is also appropriate for mail art.

Because the stamp have already been canceled, you will not be able to use them for mailing.

The name and address of the recipient has been covered for privacy reasons, but will be on the envelopes that you receive. The envelopes have not been sealed and they originally were mailed as a set in an outer envelope for protection.
