Here's a great kitschy souvenir pillowcase celebrating the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California.

It is mid-century (most likely from the 1940s) and in nice enough condition to create a fine gift for your special California friend (or for you, of course).

The watercolor style images are just wonderful. The pillowcase is pink with pink frizzled fringe and features images from popular sights in the San Francisco area:
  • Golden Gate Bridge - Longest Bridge in the World (at that time, at least)
  • Redwood Highway
  • From the Hills of Sausalito
  • Luther Burbank's Gardens, Santa Rosa,
  • Cliff House and Seal Rocks
  • Some pretty flower images
The bottom right corner appears to have been signed

The back is pastel blue satin. You'll be able to slip your pillow in from the bottom. Traditional use will see that the bottom back is left open or lightly stitched. A tag - probably from an inspector or sewer - # 47.

Be careful. This is a vintage pillowcase that is of souvenir quality. So it is not like a sturdy pillow case for everyday use. It will look great to compliment bedding or living room decor. We believe this pillow has never been used. It may have been steamed. 

There are some wrinkles as you can see. Do not launder or dry clean. Only iron on low heat with a pressing cloth or with a clothing steamer.

Your pillowcase will be packed with care, folded loosely with tissue paper.
