Here's a striking example of folk art at it's best. Here a simple wooden box, in the style of old cheese boxes, has been transformed into a work of art. The lid boasts a dandy Barred Plymouth Rock hen in her finest.

Created in 1986, by a talented artist and friend, the box held buttons and notions and other this and thats. You'll be charmed by the image and amazed at this fine work of art. The box will remind your of simpler days and even features the primitive style that is so popular. Just look at the top and sides of the wood!

The lid slips over the finished bottom easily, so this will be perfect for your treasures. Maybe you'll collect some of your own treasures, buttons, notions, and this and thats, too. It's style will fit most any decor and will be wonderful to pass along to younger family members.

The image was hand-painted and is one of a kind. Although the box has been sealed to protect the paint, please do not wash it! It is not waterproof. It is best to just dust it off if need be.
