Here's a great collector's item for Pittsburghers, firefighters, firematic collectors, and button collectors.

It's an official uniform coat button - antique - from a Pittsburgh, PA firefighter's dress uniform. The button is in excellent condition

Made of substantial non-magnetic metal. We believe it to be silver brass. It is too heavy to be aluminum. This is a dome shank button as are most uniform coat buttons. The embossed letters and a lined background. The frame is smooth.

Such buttons were used on Pittsburgh firefighter's dress uniforms from 1890 - 1910, making this one antique. **

** Note that the penny for size reference is from 1896!
